Lovely bright lights that look good.
I bought these for my bathroom as I was fed up with changing fiddly light bulbs. I fitted them myself which was sort of straightforward. They have a clip in gadget for wires instead of the block where you screw wires into. I found this very awkward to do and the wires wouldn’t stay in, so I ended up changing the fitting. Not ideal but it gave me peace of mind. The lights are lovely and bright and hardly use any electricity, a bonus considering my old halogen ones used lots.I can’t comment on the dimmable function but looking at other reviews the lights give an orange/red glow.

Slim design
My electrician installed these lights for me. Said they were a nice slim design which meant they were very easy to install. The only downside of this is that if you have a thicker than usual ceiling, (due to the insulation in my case) it can make it a little difficult for the clips to get a hold. Otherwise, these are bright enough to illuminate a very large room.

Great dimming lights
These lights are brighter than standard spot lights, look very smart and turn orange/red when dimmed. Excellent!

Excellent design and build from a famous name you can trust
Unlike many other cheaper downlighters, the Philps Impala comes with some extras that set it apart from the rest. It's heavier, with the superior build quality. The light is also set in a single axle gimble so that you can position the beam at an angle rather than having it point directly downwards. The downlighter also has a proper secure and insulated connector at the end of the short connection lead. Others simply have bare wires that you need to use your own connectors with. When fitting a downlighter, the last thing you want is to need to replace it, as they are difficult to access once fitted. The Philips LEDs are premium quality and not likely to fail like cheaper versions. The light quality has a high CRI and illuminates colours very well at full power. When the light is dimmed it gradually gets warmer/ more yellowy and finally at the dimmest point seems to be a dull orange. Great for mood settings at low light levels or bright enough for working at full power.I can warmly recommend these spot/ downlighters. Suitable for general living room lighting or illuminating pictures on a wall, due to the angle adjustment and variable colour dimming.

Nice single light
Nice light for a dark corner or just anywhere suitable ( I would buy a few at one time so can put up together saving time and mess)Easily dimmer able bulb can not be changed but mine still going strongAlways ask a fully qualified electrician to install oneAs not a straight forward fix plus you want to be sure it's fitted correctlyPrice for one maybe a be highSmall but mighty

Well Made & Bright Ceiling Spotlight That Is Easy To Fit - Bulb Not Replaceable
The Philips LED Impala Recessed Spot Light was supplied in a retail box , which when opened reveals the white light unit with it’s attached trailing tail cable that terminates in a covered terminal block inside a plastic covering junction box.I wanted this for the cloakroom as we have recently installed shelves that go to within 8 inches of the ceiling, so a normal fitting would hang over the top shelf. When I saw this was available I ordered it and have since installed it and like the result. The installation was very easy, after isolating the power to the lower floor lighting and then testing it to ensure it was off, I cut out the hole size needed for the light unit body. Following this, the two cables that came from the ceiling were terminated into the terminal block supplied and the cover clipped closed. I then restored the lower floor lighting power to tested it before it was mounted into the ceiling – all good so power once again isolated. I then folded the wings of the light unit back and pushed the unit body into the hole where the wings snap back onto the plaster in the ceiling. After restoring the lower floor lighting power I tested it and once again all was well.Whilst I am not using it in the dimmable form, this is a nice bright light for the cloakroom and does the job well. It is a robust and well made product from a reliable name in the electronics and electrics world and should last a long time. The one downside here is that the LED bulb is not changeable so the whole fitting will have to be replaced when the LED does reach end of life.

Great improvement
I always buy warm white bulbs, but these are the warmest LED's I've foundThese Philips LED Planet Spotlight are a perfect warm white shade match to the ones I’ve being trying to match too.The energy rating is a great big bonus. They were super easy to fit into. Nice warm white light gives a good bright light that is easy on the eyes.Well please, fitted three in a kitchen centre fitting. We shall see in the future if they are reliabile, hope so.Chaned all 3 halogen bulbs in my kitchen to these, they are brighter, warmer hue and don’t get hot.I really like the colour temperature and can recommend theses to anyone hanging on to halogens for this reason

The Spot Light I was looking for. For me 5*
I had been looking for a Spot Light for quite sometime, and I can finally confirm that I found the perfect one. With the price of energy rising, with the old spot light being very warm if on, I selected a modern LED light, with an easy installation process and the possibility to have micro adjustment. I installed it in 10 minutes, I do recommend to search for a YouTube video on how to do it if you don't know. You won't need any screwdriver for the new Philips Impala. The size is standard, very nice materials and the light is very warm. I installed where I have my round dinning table, amazing product. Highly recommended.
