Where have these been all my life?!?!?!
I have been using silpats on sheet trays for the over for years and I absolutely love them. Instead of using parchment paper I put my food on a silicone pad and I never have sicky food! So when I saw these grill mats that double up as a baking mat I had to give them a go!I purchased the 4 pack and they came in very quickly! Being that 4th of July is around the corner I wanted to give these a shot!!! I wanted grill some thinly sliced peppers and onions without them going thru the grill grates. I preheated the grill, placed the smaller sized mat down, and put the peppers and onions directly on the mat. Within a minute of doing this you can start to see and smell the food cooking! After I finished the onions had a nice caramelized look and none of them were lost to the grill!!! They tasted great and had zero chemical taste. Clean up was a breeze! Simply let the mat cool off, took it to the sink, and rinsed it off with hose and the soft end of a scrubbing pad!I purchased the 4 pack so it comes with (2) 15.75" x 13"and (2) 9.3'' x 13.4” mats. The mats are only about a quarter of an inch thick so you can easily cut them to your desired size! The mats are made out of 100% PFOA-Free materials and premium PTFE-Fiberglass coating, no PFOA, silicone or other dangerous chemicals! And they are said to be certified as safe by the FDA.You can use either side of the mat for cooking and they seemed to hold up great to the flames from the grill.
