I have it on a faux wood floor. I put it down under my carpet, it stays in place and is super sticky (but not adhesive). Nothing moves. That's all I needed. Thanks!

Holds our area rug in place with no issues. It was easy to trim to fit. Don’t but the carpet tape, this works much better.

Upon opening the package, the rug gripper had VERY strong toxic chemical smells off-gassing from it. My entire room smelled like caustic acetone so I had to open all the windows and turn the fan on. I placed it outside to vent but the smells never went away so now it’s in it’s original packaging for a return. I would not recommend this item. It may work for rugs etc but those fumes are very unhealthy, especially for young children or anyone with respiratory issues. I absolutely would not recommend putting this under a mattress with the off-gassing. There are definitely better quality gripper mats on the market that are safer for you and your family.
