CAVALIERE 30" Inch Range Hood Wall Mounted Stainless Steel Kitchen Vent 442 CFM

What's to say! I ordered this in November and received it promptly. Problem: ding in the hood. Customer service: will send replacement, got lost in the shuffle, and I had to keep reminding them. Replacement part: wrong part sent. New part: fine. Then the digital panel stopped working after a month. Customer service: look at the video, look at the video without addressing what is wrong or giving me an adequate answer. Replacement sent: installed. Now there is an error message apparently on the fan that goes from yellow to green to red. Customer service: look at the video, which requires taking the whole hood down and fiddling with the motherboard, etc. This after the part has been in for several weeks. I am so frustrated and stressed with dealing with this defective item over and over. Customer service is basically non-existent - look at the video. Problem is the video doesn't address, nor does the owner's manual address troubleshooting of problems that I am experiencing. Customer service apparently doesn't know what to do. If I could give a -5 I would.

The unit is gorgeous and really moves the air! It has a very substantial feeling, even the buttons and filters feel solid. I struggled a little with the flue because my kitchen is on a 5 inch riser and I mounted the unit high, but two snips with an angle grinder made it all snug together. I'm really happy with this range hood's look and performance and I feel like $340 was a really good price for what I received.

First the bad. The grills are painted white unlike the stainless steel in their picture ("Stainless steel baffle filters"). And the paint is peeling after two months use . A month after we had it, the display would not turn on. It otherwise worked. Then one day we had a power failure for a few hours. When the power came on, the display was working again. So the next time the display goes out, I need to flip the circuit breaker to get it to reset. It has been fine for the last month except one time the fan turned off as if the timer was on - maybe we had mistakenly hit the timer button. Otherwise, it looks good apart from the white grills. The display is too bright on the normal setting but just press display again and you get the dimmer setting. It's not super quiet, about the same as our very old one it replaced. If the grills weren't painted and if the display only needed a power reset every couple of years, then this would be a good purchase. Two stars since the grills were misrepresented. UPDATE 2019/10: grill paint was ok, it was plastic wrap. The lights have stayed on without needing another power reset. Sometimes the fan cuts out as if the timer was engaged. I would raise to 3.5 stars.

To start with, to install this hood it was nightmare! LED light stop working after one week after hood was installed. It took me and my wife 2 full hours to remove protection film from stainless steel surface of this hood.

Mom in law loves it! Blue lights are way way too intense!!! I bought very dark tint to dull them

Great hood, powerful with 6 speeds, looks nice in my transitional kitchen, led lights are nice with two settings
