Buy this book!
I am always leery of buying yet another golf instruction book, and I have been researching books from Vision 54 for some time. When I saw that they released BE A PLAYER, it looked like it was the way to go, and I purchased the Kindle version. Their concepts may not be for everyone, but they were right on target for me.This book does not concern itself with swing fundamentals, it is about the mental side of the game. You will learn about issues that prevent you from playing up to your potential on the golf course. You will learn more about yourself on the course, why you play well and why you do not play well. There are many subtle things that affect you while you are playing and you were most likely unaware of them, or how they change how you play.Once you are aware of the aspects they discuss you can monitor yourself during a round and make adjustments between rounds and even during rounds.

Think about not thinking
Very interesting ideas on what to think about when, and how to not think about the swing when you are swinging. It suggests moving your focus from more mechanical thoughts to thoughts which won't get in your own way, such as the target. It has changed my focus slightly and I am benefitting.

Good stuff I can actually use!
I've read:- Rotella's Golf is not a Game of Perfect- Gio Valiente's Fearless Golf- Zen Golf- Michael Murphy's Golf in the KingdomAnd this book is the better than all of them combined. It not only tells you how you should think (on the course and practice tee) to play your best golf, it gives you practical questions to ask yourself and exercises to implement the methodologies.I especially loved the neurological, psychological, and behavioral research the author references: from Daniel Kannemann to Amy Cuddy to Anders Eriksson (respectively: Nobel Laureate of Thinking Fast and Slow fame, Harvard Prof of posture-mind effect, FSU Psych Prof of 10,000 hours mastery fame) and others.I will use these lessons in my golf game as well as my business life.

A better way to better golf
A great stand alone book on the Vision54 way to think and play. I’ve read Every Shot Must Have a Purpose and this I.book is also a great follow read.

If You Buy One Golf Book This is the One!
Haven't you wondered why great golfers come in all shapes and sizes? By far, Pia and Lynn understand it is not about the technical but the mental. You can take lessons to perfect your ball strike and be respectable BUT if you want to start scoring and really having fun playing golf then read the book. Everyone is different and to play well consistently you need to know how to motivate and control YOU. You need to know what works best for you and only you from the moment you step up to the tee to when you are stuck still playing five hours later. The better you know yourself the better you play. Not a bad premise for life either! Buy the book and you won't be disappointed.

Absolute must for anyone wanting to take their game to a new dimension!!
I have read all of pia and lynn's books and they are all phenomenal, and each one of them take your golf game to a new level. Their most recent book, Be A player continues to take you even further into the internal world of golf, which addresses the saying that golf is 90% mental. While traditional golf instruction continues to only focus on external side of golf; technique, technology and physical fitness. This book will help anyone, at any level of golf. Be prepared to be shocked as the very 1st round after reading this book I got my 1st hole in one. Thank you Los and Lynn!!

Not an easy fluent read
Very psychological more than technical. A lot about Positive Neurolinguistics and that sort of things. Not an easy fluent read.

Golf and Human Performance!
Lynne and Pia explain how to apply the Vision 54 philosophy to enhance Golf performance. This is a very well thought out read, linking years of research and experience in Golf coaching, Psychology and Neuroscience (in a simplified manner) to how the mind and body function to play Golf. It allows the reader to reflect, plan and execute his/her very own blueprint to play their best golf in the most enjoyable way. Lots of practical tasks to experiment. Really, the concepts of this book and developing an understanding of ‘human skills’ go beyond just playing golf, but relate to life in general. A must read!!

I wish I had read this book in my teens
A very good book for someone who is wondering why their game is not improving despite practice. Recommended for the advanced and for the beginners. Some terminology is only generally explained and you will benefit from reading earlier books from the authors.

Great golf psycho book
Even better than the 3 former books from the same authors, it is a compendium of their theories about golf psychology and performance enhancement technics. Fully recomendable.
