White 2 Gallon Bucket with Gamma Seal Lid (5)

Excellent quality. Good price, well packaged for shipping. The screw top Gamma lid is awesome. I purchased the twenty 2 gallon buckets. Perfect size. Easy to store and handle. One 2 gallon bucket holds approximately 15.2 lbs of Rice or 12.8 lbs of flour. I washed the buckets in warm water with a little dish washing liquid. Towel dry and let sit for a day to totally dry. Water tends to collect under the lid rim. I would definitely purchase again and highly recommend these to others.

Good quality product, lids are easy to use, they make a good seal and are easy to install BUT the silicon gaskets have a chemical rubbery smell to them. This product would be fine for non-consumable items, but I don't want my food smelling and tasting like chemical rubber.It's unfortunate so many products, especially the ones from China carry these noxious rubber odors. Products like this didn't used to smell like they do now. If I find a good food storage system that doesn't stink, I will update this review.

I got smaller buckets as I couldn't lift the 5 gallon bucket. My biggest problem was getting the rim on. You will need a rubber mallet and once you've gotten one on and see how it works, it's fairly easy with the mallet. I then took a marker and marked on the top whether it was flour, sugar, etc. Easy to store my baking goods. I have a couple of the square lids and with t he device you get to put that on, I'm assuming it's not something you are in and out of.

these buckets are a slight bit thinner than the standard 5 gal buckets at Rural King. I tested them with water. I hammered the screw lids as tight as I could with a rubber mallet with our damaging the lid. I turned them over lid end down and the all leaked water. These are well made sturdy buckets. I did run them thru the cold cycle on my dish washer as I intended to store dry food & grains with O2 absorber in there. They will not work for long term food storage, eh?

I am a beekeeper and so is a lady friend of mine. As such we are always on the look out for buckets. The buckets we can get are free from my source. But they are five gallons only, beggars can’t be choosers, and come without useful lids. Lids from bee companies are about ten bucks each, and five gallons of honey is very heavy. This manageable for me, but not possible for her. So, when we saw a set of five, two gallon, buckets, with lids, for the cost of the lids, we jumped on it. Thanks guys.

Please dont buy these. I loved them when i got them. Perfect size after 4 months of use....in my storeroom....the rubber that the gamma lids screw into has split on 3 of the 5 buckets! Completely unusable now!!!

Love these, going to order more, the Gamma lids are the way to go, and cost was affordable, when you do you homework, and check pricing. I even went on line, and ordered directly from the company Tonkbarn.com. I purchased their 5 gallon buckets with Gamma lids, set of 5 multi colors, really good deal!

I bought them and they came with oil around the lid. I though this was so I could put the gamma lids on without a problem. Well, I washed them out and used them. About a year later two lids were cracked!!!!! Food spoiled.
