One of the hallmarks of good service is what happens when things go wrong. The original two pack of venus flytraps arrived and immediately opened only to find that the smaller one did not survive the journey (it does within a couple of days of arrival). I contacted the seller and they immediately shipped a replacement. It and the surviving member of the first shipment are both doing well and I plan on purchasing more plants and soils (you should see the variety of soils that they offer at Sunrise Soil Company) in the future!!

Do not buy these plants if you want to kill houseflies. If you have an indoor fly problem these plants are useless and will not eliminate or even reduce that problem. They do not attract houseflies. If a fly walks RIGHT INTO the trap leaf it will close and kill the fly but flies are NOT drawn to the plants in anyway. Plus, no matter how many trap leaves the plant has, it’s still only one plant, and one fly a week is enough for the plant to live. Added to that, they are delicate plants that need a strict pattern of sunlight and you can only use distilled water. Interesting plants? Yes. House fly problem solution? No!

Love my plants, the care sheet was very helpful. I bought these a few months ago to combat the flies that always find their way into my house and they are thriving! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep them alive but they're doing very well. I've enjoyed watching them grow so well. Great job by a small business, highly recommend!

You are going to need more correct soil for these plants. They give you a little but its not enough for 2 plants.Plants came well packed, and prompt delivery.Lots of online help with how to make these grow bigger.

These are very small. It comes with 2 plants but they are starter plants. My 10 year old granddaughter is learning patience from there. They are too small to eat.

As other ppl mentioned they are small, one seemed dead upon arrival. I emailed the seller no response. It was a learning experience, would not recommend.

I appreciated that the plants, pots, and potting materials were all included. Before planting, I loosely filled the pots with the potting material and set them into a deeper container and filled the larger container with water about halfway up the provided pots. Once the materials at the top of the pots was nicely damp, (about 2 hours) I pulled the pots out of the water and planted the baby Venus Flytraps. Once settled in, I put them under a grow light (bulb set about 2 inches above the plants). For the first week they looked a little rough. To water I put them back in the water tank for an hour or so twice a week. Lost a couple of traps in the first 10 days as they settled in. Now they look good and I’m hoping they will catch any white fly or other small bugs that sometimes fly around my sun room plants. Oh, week 2 I put them in the middle of a bunch of orchids so they get full sun for most of the day and seem happy now in the same environment.

A month in and going well. Very happy that the plants are doing great. I've been collecting rain water for them and occasionally have used filtered water when short on rain. I opened and potted as soon as they arrived, not sure if that matters or not. But if they were in dormant state then it would be bad if they sat in box on porch during a summer month.
