Top Gun: Maverick

Great film. Watched it now many times. The special extras are well worth watching. Lots of interesting facts about the film.

This is a movie showing how the annoying, cocky Maverick from Top Gun is doing some years later. Without spoiling the plot, let's just say I like the character in this film whereas I wanted to slap him in the first film.

I thought it was another action-packed fighter plane movie like the first one, but this one had some story that kept me watching for 2 hrs. Jennifer Connelly was a credible choice as Tom Cruise's love interest, Jon Hamm, Miles Teller, Glen Powell and other young guns made this film watchable. The story plot is not that complicated, but there is far more depth as compared with the first film.

Great move

A great spectacle, made for and deserving of 4K HDR. A cliched story that somehow sticks the landing with a plot that is satisfying to see play out. The blu-ray extras were unfortunately a bit disappointing, as the making of documentary appears to deliberately exclude any mention of the brilliant CGI work througout the film. I would have really liked to see more (anything really!) on how this was done.

What can I say, that hasn't already been said? Brilliant, thrilling, emotional and the best aerial sequences ever filmed.Tom Cruise is the man!
