This tostones is build with strong wood, easy to clean but it has a mayor problem on the hardware. This is hold by 8 wood screws and they are to small. Mine is already loose in one use. I am sure I can fix it with some longer screws. But this need to be address in the factory prior to selling them. Beside this issues it does the work.

Just get the flat tostonera. The toston bowl sound nice and what not, but this product will not yield you that.

I really like it. I use it with plantains. I fry big chunks of plantains and then put it in the tostonera then deep fry it. Fill it with wathever you feel like. You can even make some and then freeze them so other day you just dep fry them.

Great item especially for puertorican moms. Nice space to add decal or draw a beautiful artwork onto. I also love that it makes eating tostones topped with meat less messy because its like a tostone scooner. I took away one star only because the hinges are a lil shakey and screws look cheap but nothing My husband can’t fix.

The item broke the first time using it; it didn’t even make the plantains bowls. I wasn’t even able to actually use it because it broke.
