Suavidad!

Great for inflammation, acne, use moderation w/dry skin
I have rosacea and sensitive skin that tends to be combination or sometimes on the dry side. I do miss salicylic acid as an acne leave-on treatment, it's just too drying, so I thought I'd give this wash a try. After my ingredient checker found this to be mostly okay, minus one ingredient that I haven't had problems with, I took the plunge.Elephant in the room, that one ingredient is Bergamot Oil. I haven't had issues with this perfuming agent, but those of us with super sensitive skin get kind of used to testing things out before we go full in - do that. This one can be an irritant and cause issues in the sun so they say it's better to use it before bed. Science type people also seem to think the sun issue is a bigger problem in lotions and makeup that stay on your skin than things that don't really linger so much like cleansers. Being a wash, I guess they can still make the 'sensitive skin' claim, but I'm a little lost as to why they even bothered to add this ingredient at all. This is 2022, we have options! I won't take stars off considering the rest of its awesomeness, but I won't just let it slide without a big mention, either! (wags finger)I did photograph the ingredients, but the bumpy box didn't allow for a good image. They're supplied in the product description if you want an easier method. I wanted you to see what the wash looks like, but it's really challenging to show the great lather that this makes - my hands were all lathery and wet and the phone was so slippery! I didn't get that particular photo. I just lather it up good in my hands and then work it into my face. I had more product in the picture than I generally use, it takes very little, bubbles up very easily, and gets your face squeaky clean. The scent is light and sort of a classic soap smell that doesn't linger.I suppose it's the salicylic acid, but this does tend to be drying on my dry skin, which didn't surprise me at all. I usually only use this a few times a week or when I notice extra oily patches or breakouts starting. Sometimes I use my regular wash and use a tiny bit of this around my nose and rosacea prone areas. Even though I use it in moderation, it's very useful to have in my toolbox and I notice a big difference. This definitely helps reduce my inflammation and lowers potential breakouts when I start to see the little red bumps forming here and there, which sometimes happens in my pinker rosacea-prone areas. I found at least four ingredients besides SA that help with inflammation and redness. I would definitely recommend this, in moderation for us dryer folks, but if you have oily skin you can go hog wild with it. Just be sure to test your skin with that iffy Bergamot Oil if you tend to be more sensitive.

Bad for sensitive skin
If you have very sensitive skin like me, I would recommend to avoid this product. I used it for only two weeks and it cause the worst closed commedones I’ve ever had in my life.

Very good cleanser
The smell is very mildly like matcha and I like that it's not too strong. It does lather a little but not to a huge volume of bubbles. After I wash my face with it my skin doesn't feel tight or anything, but all the makeup and sunscreen, dirt etc is removed. It doesn't make me break out even though I have sensitive skin, and I think it does reduce acne breakouts like it says. My sister also likes it and she is a teenager. She definitely has better skin than I had at that age, maybe due to better skincare.

Purge much?
::raises hand::TL;DR:Caused major cystic acne purge 👎👎👎👎Cleaned without leaving skin feeling stripped 👍Thick consistency 👍Little goes a long way 👍Price 👍TL part starts now:Right smack dab in between my eyes/eyebrows is prob my biggest "trouble area" when it comes to acne. And it's not just any acne, it's adult acne...and not just any adult acne....it's adult CYSTIC acne. My flare ups got so bad I started going to my dermo to get cortisone injections urgently, numerous times a month. I tried several oral & topical rx meds to no avail. That was when my dermatologist decided it was time for Accutane. But that stuff messed with me so bad both mentally & physically, I only took it for 3 months (md said I needed to take it for a minimum of 5 months to have any lasting effects). So i was surprised when it appeared as though 3 months of the med actually made a difference & I went almost 2 full YEARS without any cystic episodes. That was until last week when I started using this product. The morning following my first use, I woke up and tried to convince myself that the sore spot inbtwn my brows was only my imagination. But by lunch time, I could see it was getting bigger.By dinner time, it was a full blown angry, red, painful bump under my skin.I decided to stop using the wash & started praying that this bump wouldn't lead to you-know-what.....Yep...Sure did....Welcome to Acnegate 2022Those repeat offenders multiplied and came back to the neighborhood & in the very same spots on my face!!!This time they're bigger & more painful than ever.I made it almost 2 years without these demons in my life....TWO YEARS!!If the soap caused me to break out in 'normal' pimples (i.e. not cystic acne) then i wouldn't hesitate to continue using it & letthe purge run its course bc I liked that this didn't make my skin feel stripped or squeaky after.Plus, it has a thicker consistency which is what I prefer when it comes to facial cleansers.A little goes a long way and because its not watery or thin, it doesn't drip into my eyes when using it inbtwn my brows (aka Satan's Playground).I think this would be a good product for those without a propensity for cystic acne. It continues to be a rather epic & painful fail for me.I hope my humble opinion helps you in some way. If you've made it this far, then I really appreciate your time. And no, I can't give you back the last 3 minutes of your life...but I'd be willing to give you a tube of skin cleanser if you'd like. 😁Thank you for reading.

Eh..
I love the Matcha line from HEIMISH, but this cleanser STRIPPED my face FAST. I have sensitive, oily skin (w/ occasional acne), and have been looking for a secondary cleanser. My primary cleanser is HEMISH ALL CLEAN cleanser and it is AMAZING. This one didn't meet up to my expectation. It might be perfect for someone else... maybe not for those with sensitive skin. Try it out, it might be what you needed if ou suffer from serious oily skin.
