Adapter defective and can't return
Don't purchase this product! We're only giving it a one star review because you can't seem to give it zero. The one we received did not work when we finally had a chance to plug it in. And apparently, we've passed our deadline to return it, so stuck with this piece of junk. Go to Best Buy and buy something off the shelf. This was a rip-off.

Works great! Allows PS2 to play PSOne Games
This works great! when the PS2 plays PSOne games, it adjusts/lowers the resolution of the TV. This can only happen on the RGB output option, NOT the YPBPR mode. This cable does need external power, I had to connect a usb power plug to it. But it works! I can play PSOne games on my PS2 Slim now. Sound and image are low res quality, but the games work!

Quick easy and cheap solution, but maybe not the best
This product works, however the resolution is blurry because it's not upscaled to 1080p. It's still a 480p signal being displayed at 1080p. There. Is no difference if you set the switch from 1080p to 720p on the unit. Pretty sure this is a limitation of the PS2 unit itself. The unit also gets very hot during use. Removing the unit can be challenging as well due to it's design. It is a solution to play PS2 on a modern TV that is very affordable and easy to use though.
