Reprise - Remixes
Moby brings a remixed 'semi' reimagined version of his Reprise album, a kind of alternative with only some of the bigger hits, with one or more of a track having different reworkings and mixes, bringing orchestra, dance, electronic, house, techno, vocal and even a touch of ambient sound. The mixes here are fresh and add another experience with the echo of Reprise through it. Really pleased Moby has released a more dance version of this, I do find sometimes when he releases a remix of his albums they are better, like the album 'All Visual Objects', he released the remixed DJ SET version (digital download) which was much better. There is a mixture here, where it also slows down with tracks 'Extreme Ways' and 'The Great Escape', ok but not great, just to point out, but has better in the likes of 'Hero's' (David Bowie) a fast energy techno house version, 'We Are All Made Of Stars' as with the Reprise version, seems extended and is wonderful, with the build up to the chorus and a more up tempered sound, tracks 10 and 11 of 'Porcelain', offer two different modes, track 10 is upbeat, while track 11 sounds more of an ambient blend, both good, as for track 4 of this, it differs and sounds like a digital 'fast forward' experiment, it's odd, not one of the best tracks on here, 'Natural Blues' has three different upbeat versions, along side vocals from Gregory Porter and Amythyst Kiah, also 'Lift Me Up' has a good beat with a kind of electronic synthesiser and a deep vocal from Moby, 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad' repeats lyrics, which adds to a smooth hitting beat. My favourite on here has to be 'GO', the Ansifa Letyago remix. One of the tracks from the selection which appeared on Reprise that I would of liked to of been remixed for this compilation is 'God Moving Over the Face of the Waters'. Moby has contributed to this, having artists who have been inspired by his work to put this mix together as I read the booklet which comes with the cd. Reprise brought a different experience where Moby gave us a re-envisioned tune, it's worth having both albums (Reprise and Reprise - Remixes) as they are both different.

Remixes are worse than original
I was rather underwhelmed by the original CD and bought this on the hope that others could bring something extra to the tracks but they sound even worse IMO.
