I was able to talk very clearly to my girl friend in San Francisco. We talked quit a bit and my bill was $2.83 USD. After 3 months my bill is at about $8.00 Soracom is coming out with a Satellite\Cell Hybrid service soon. If you have to travel around the planet this is a good IOT sim card. You can only add US-max on top of it, but can't add any of the low tier cheap US buckets. You'd end up paying more in monthly fees than you need to if you are just need the U.S. option. I could not find a US plan on amazon, but it's available directly from soracom, but add $12 shipping. All this is hard to untangle until you try to register the card and wonder what the heck is going on. Also my 4G modem did not really connect. might be a 3g only card but I'm not 100% on that.
