they do not, steaming is a natural process of clay

I previously order these and they have a very strong smell. What can I do about the smell? Also, do they contain led?

Mine did not have a smell so I can’t help with that and out earlier research promised no lead.

Are they glazed on the inside?

No and not on the outside either. If you are looking for any kind of glazing or smooth texture these are not for you. Kind of gritty... not what i expected.

Ok to drink out of? Am I supposed to coat? Machine washable?

I've ordered fancy party straws to go with them. They could use a glaze. They are recommended for consumption, but your lips kinda stick to the rough clay! I wouldn't run them through the dishwasher.
