D'Addario XL ProSteels Bass Strings EPS170-6, 32-130, 6-String

been using these for about a year , just love the high end and the fat bottom, stainless steel is the way to go, clean hands, great sound and a fantastic price here ,last a long time, great feel when played not stiff , you won't be disappointed !😎

I have always been a D'Addario and Rotosound string user however with their prices skyrocketing through out the years , I'm glad that D'Addario has maintained their prices fairly low and for stainless steel strings these sound great for under 30 bucks. Great sustain and warmth. However, the feel when sliding my hand up and down on the string is a bit ruff. The strings could've been a bit smoother. So I gave them 4 stars on sheerness cause they're not so sheer. Other than that, they sound great for the money.

I have a nickel allergy and a six-string bass, and these were the most accessible strings for that particular combination of factors. The sound is quite nice, and while it takes a while for the oils from your hands to sort of lube up the strings to allow for slides and such, they will get there, and they will play smooth.

I've been using D'Addario Pro Steel strings since they came out, probably 20 years ago. Previously I had tried GHS Boomers which are also stainless steel strings. However, Boomers are rough to the touch and actually wore down my finger pads to the point I was bleeding on stage. The Pro Steels are every bit as bright but also silky smooth to the touch. My fingers are very acidic and will kill nickle wound strings almost over night. Stainless strings hold up better to corrosion and feel/sound awesome. Seriously, I've probably purchased about 200 sets of these strings over the years and have never found anything I like better. Give 'em a try!

I have two pedals, a boss chorus and a mxr eq, these strings sing with the my seat up. it is not a lot but it sounds good. nice bass guitar strings.

Pretty decent bass strings great tone and long life

I'm a professional bass player, with 35 years of experience. Always use D'addario, because it's a great stuff for this price. I like several brands a little bit more, but these brands almost in twice expensive. If you have everyday gigs - only D'addarii, imho.

Great very bright very harmonic strings. However they do not last as long as the NYXL variation. I prefer to use bright strings since you can always remove high end frequencies with the tone knob but you cant add back in those high harmonics and zing

I have been searching for these strings in India since 8 years now. Most of the time they were either available in Mumbai or outside India so I carried on with Nickle wound. I always wanted to record modern thrash bass tone which could only be possible due to Lighter gauges stainless steel strings. They are brighter than Nickle wound and apt for Heavy metal songs. Trust me on this been playing bass since 2 decades now.

Spiel seit 2 Jahren nen 6 Saiter und seit nem halben Jahr auch nen 4er in BEAD stimmung. Für beide habe ich lange nach nem Saitensatz gesucht, der schön glasig und nervig klingt. Endlich hab ich was passendes gefunden was vor allem lange den klaren Sound liefert den ich suche, ohne dabei exorbitant teuer zu sein.(Thomastik, Labella, DR, etc) Wenn's die Saiten für nen 4er mit 130-65 Stärke gäb, wäre es ne 6/5

Depuis 20 ans j'ai du essayer pas loin de tout ce qui se fait en matière de production de cordes et je dois avouer que je reviens toujours au D'addario Pro Steels. J'ai toujours eu une préférence pour les cordes acier, plus de répondant et de précision dans les graves, mais celles ci ont la faculté de ne pas générer des aigus criards (l'équilibre est d'autant plus marqué sur la 6 cordes). Toutes mes basses en sont équipé ce qui me permet d'avoir une continuité dans la son. Derniers détails un prix très abordable doublé d'une bonne longévité. A préciser tout de même si vous chercher un son Motown passez votre chemin on est plutot dans l'univers du "piano tone". Bonne journée à tous.

Best strings I've tried in my life so far. Why? Because from string to string it retains the same sustenance, tonality. Some strings are easy to hear that you're changing string while playing, but not these strings. Will definitely get these for my other bass also.
