Question 1

Hi there. does anyone know if you might be able to leave the floorplates off and add extension pipes? i’d like to use it to cover a potting bench. tia

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Thank you for your question. The ShelterLogic Outdoor Pet Shade Sun Shelter for Dogs, Cats, and Livestock was designed to be exactly 3'ft high off the ground. If the unit goes up any higher by adding additional poles, it can compromise the integrity of the structure. Please keep in mind that any modification made to the frame will void your warranty. If you have any other questions or wish to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-932-9344.

Thank you

Hope this helps!

Question 3

How would this hold up over a Michigan winter?

Accepted Answer

Hello Matt,

Thank you for your question. Although the ShelterLogic 4' x 4' x 3' Outdoor Pet Shade and Sun Shelter is Not live load rated, it is designed with 1" (in). / 2,5 cm. diameter steel frame that gives the pet shelter strength and stability all around and a cover that is made of heavy-duty fire-rated and water-resistant 300 polyester material that is UV treated to block harmful UVA and UVB rays. Our customers find the Pet Shelter to be very sturdy when it comes to protecting their pets from the rain and Sun. Please note we do recommend securing the Pet Shelter to the ground with the Two 15"-(in). all-steel auger anchors; the anchors comes with the Pet Shelter. If you have any other questions or wish to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-932-9344.
