Amazing. My new favorite
OMG. I just got this today and immediately it's my new favorite tool. I've finally gotten relief from the deepest intense knots in my traps and neck that I've always had trouble getting. This is so versatile that I find so many ways to use this and get at them pesky trigger points. I find it most effective used against a wall as it might be too intense for some on the floor. But you really have to be creative and do some exploring on how to get them knots. I swear, the people who return this thing have little to no imagination probably. Think outside the box and this tool is like magic. Pls don't ever stop making these as I will instantly buy another one if mine wears out. It's expensive but totally worth it imho.

"Hurts so Good"
The LittleMum Shoulder Deep Tissue Massager Tool is AMAZING! But my definition of AMAZING might be different from others, haha. I do Crossfit and am a momma of twins, so I am lifting often. This tool gets deep into my back muscles and releases the tensions and knots that start to cause referral pain if not released regularly. Regular deep deep tissue massages has been my routine in the past but since having the babies I can’t sneak away enough to manage this. That is where the LittleMum has been a life saver. Whenever the day presents a short window of time I can throw this on the ground and take care of all my problem spots right in the comfort of my home! Now to get into the “AMAZING” part. If you are not use to deep tissue trigger point release, this tool can be intense. Anyone who knows the process of finding a trigger point and holding it until it releases knows the saying, “hurts so good”. This is how I would describe this tool, it is very effective and does a great job of releasing trigger points but it isn’t “comfortable”. You can tell it was designed by Physical Therapists, people who truly understand body mechanics and muscle anatomy. I have been incredibly happy with the LittleMum Shoulder Deep Tissue Tool and highly recommend it. I have gotten to the point that I could spend hours, if I had hours, moving it up and down my back searching for every little knot and trigger point because it is so effective at trigger point release. Hopefully this review helps describe an accurate expectation of this tool and how it has helped me.

Initial expense high but highly recommended it
This is expensive but they haven’t changed their pricing much for a long time now (that could be good because it was the same high price before the pandemic). It is super durable, don’t plan to break this thing anytime soon and I’m not a featherweight sized person. The orange covering over the aluminum metal is great as it keeps it in place through your clothes, it’s not slipping everywhere. Instructions on using it could be better but did find their short YouTube video to be quite informative. I use this for back spasms and I find that if it’s not working my lower back I actually need to start working the upper back first. I have not used this on the floor but in the bed only and I am able to successfully adjust the amount of pressure/pain that way. This is not pleasant when you’re in pain but I find after being on this for 15-30+ minutes it’s the most relief I can get and better than any chiropractor (with the exception of one chiropractor) Ive had in the past. Also, despite the initial sticker shock chiropractors are now as expensive for one visit. To ensure my knots are gone I often just fall asleep on it (probably not recommended by manufacturer). It’s just an indicator that the initial pain does go away once you’ve successfully worked the trigger points. The design is great because you’re working both sides of the back evenly every time.

Good tool amd quality, but very high price.
This tool works really well in a bunch of different ways, including access to tight suboccipital muscles. It's painful but helpful, however I'm not sure very thin folks or elderly folks should use it since it really digs in and is not padded at all. It works well for my needs. However- I do not think it should cost more than $50. It does seem like it'll last my entire lifetime, but that price is pretty steep for the average user, even for an independent company, $79 is quite high.

Effective, light-weight, compact device
I was impressed with the quality of the product and how light it was immediately upon opening it. With a wide range of uses based on different positions and using different parts of it, I've found it to be very, very helpful and one of my primary go-to massage tools. It can feel so nice that I have to intentionally stop myself to give my body a break and not have too much pressure! :) It can be challenging to get the right pressure in the desired way in certain parts of the body, but to be fair, it's virtually impossible for any device to do everything well. I've found what works well for me. For instance, the deeper trigger point, targeting my lower middle back tends to be most effective while using it against the back of a chair rather than laying on the ground. With the softer, curved side, I find it stretches and aligns my upper back spine better than even the Chirp wheels do. I find these to be complementary with the wheels good for stretching in general, but this massage puts more precise pressure in particular areas, which can be very helpful. It's so light and compact yet soft that it's easy to carry around the house. I'm curious if it would trigger a manual search of luggage if I travel with it for work since it has a metal core (it should have no problems clearing, but I'm guessing it may get flagged on imaging due to its unique shape). I haven't traveled since I had it yet, but its size and efficacy would make it a nice travel companion. I struggled with the price, as others have noted. It's not cheap. But it is good quality with a long warranty. The customer service is very responsive, as I asked a range of questions. I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider returning it in the 30 day window purely because of price. I love this massager, but with some other big purchases around the same time, I was debating returning it to save some money. I kept it, and I really don't regret it. The metal core, great rubbery coating, warranty, multiple applications, and all the development, planning, and testing that had to go into it likely drives this price. I haven't found anything similar to it. So while I'd still like to see a lower price point for broader accessibility, the device itself is very, very good and one I recommend.

Game-Changer for Managing Tension Before It Becomes a Migraine
Absolutely worth it. I’ll admit—I had some reservations. It looks a little strange, and it’s not exactly cheap. But I am so glad I took the leap and purchased the LittleMum. I suffer from migraines with a variety of triggers, and one of the biggest is muscle tension. This tool has been such a gift for working out the knots in my neck and upper back. Once I figured out how to position myself and let my own body weight do the work, everything started clicking. To be clear, this isn’t a miracle cure—it doesn’t erase migraines. But it does help me address the muscle tension before it spirals into a full-blown migraine. And that’s a game-changer. The design mimics the pressure of a deep-tissue massage—think elbows digging in, but with a bit of cushion. I’ve saved so much time and money by using this at home instead of running to get a massage when my tension spikes. If you’re willing to be patient, follow the how-to videos, and use it consistently, this little tool offers real relief. For me, it’s become an essential part of managing pain and staying ahead of my migraine triggers. Highly recommend.

It might look like a modern fruit bowl but it's SO MUCH MORE!
I purchased both this and the Little Mum Trap Trigger Point Massager, and OMG, I'm releasing knots and muscles that only my chiropractor and fascia bodyworker could relieve. I can easily access muscles and knots without using my fingers/hands - thus allowing my body to relax and lean into the release. I've started slowly, and things are starting to release. I've used this for my low back, hips, quads, butt, and pecks. I've added additional stretches to help release my hamstrings and other areas. Not only is my posture while walking improving but my knees and feet are also opening up. This morning was the first day in a long time that I could get out of bed and walk without my feet being tight. This tool allows me to work through my body's mechanical chain of errors. I can't wait to fold in some lacrosse ball action on my feet and forearms to continue the journey. For the first time in a long time, I'm hopeful that I can access and enjoy the mobility of my body again. Thank you Little Mum! This tool is everything since I can no longer go to the chiropractor after having ACDF surgery on my cervical spine. This tool gives me access to relive all the points of tension that cause compression in my neck. I started slowly, not spending too long on it, and focused on relaxing, breathing deep breaths, and tucking my hips. An added bonus is this "lobster's claws" move a bit, making it easy to target other tight spots when I roll to the side. Thanks Little Mum for an amazing affordable product, I can't wait to buy a few more of your products!

Pure torture
Pain during use and after. The more days I used the worse the pain. I have a pretty good pain tolerance but this was too much. I have another device that helps and involves deep tissue message with some discomfort when kneeding tense muscles and proportional pain relief later. It doesn't have to be intensely painful to help. I could not force myself to do it anymore. I was using my other device to get rid of the pain of this device but pain kept mounting until I gave up. I guess everyone responds differently to different devices and everyone is searching for the aid that works for them.

Tough and effective
A lot of comments about it being compact and light (both true) but this thing is STRONG. I’m not a small guy, thought it would flex and be destroyed in no time but the only thing destroyed are my tight muscles. Highly recommend. If you’re concerned about it being too much to handle as others have mentioned, just use it on the bed.

Incredible
A simple, unique and effective piece of equipment. Gets to the deepest knots under shoulder blades, traps, neck and down your back . Controllable force allowing you to adjust pressure from zero up to unbearable (similar to a Physios elbow at maximum pressure if you like). Initially didn't think this thing would work all that well and thought that it was way too expensive. 100% glad that I got it, worth every penny and highly recommend.

Wasn’t right for me… but could be for someone else
This was the first Little Mum product that I purchased and I didn’t find relief from using this product. It didn’t hit any of the spots that I needed it to after following the instructional video and trying different techniques out over a period of a few days. Leading me to return the item. It just wasn’t right for me… but could be perfect for someone else. Quality wise the product is very good and sturdy. I am over 100kg and felt very safe on this and believe it will out live the 15 year guarantee. As the quality is up to standard it gave me faith in the brand and subsequently I have ordered more products from little mum that I absolutely adore!

Best Invention for Muscles and Fascia Recovery
I've been using this tool for a year and love it. I have two. When I am sitting at my desk, I use one for my glutes and one for my back. When I am meditating lying down, I overlap the two in the middle and lay my shoulders on them. This is a serious game changer. 20 stars out of 5. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sink the flesh, leave the bones is my mantra. Relax and surrender into the now.

Painful BUT it works
Wow. My body has been riddled with knots under my shoulder blades which do not release, for years. Deep tissue massages get some spots but inflame others. This is the first piece of equipment that can target all of these areas. This process is very painful for me, which is a deterrent, BUT if you can endure the pain, ... it works! I cannot see the average person using this device effectively, but if you suffer from knot pain, this can be your saving grace.
