I use a filter on top of it. Just cause. Still works great. Doesn't fit ALL coffee cups. Only if you drink coffee by the liter. ### ⭐ Two years later and it no longer works. *by R***K on December 29, 2020* This filter will not come clean after two years of regular use. We have brushed it, boiled it in vinegar, let sit, and then scrubbed and washed thoroughly with grease-cutting dish detergent. It no longer allows coffee to filter through it unless you can wait 45 minutes for one cup of coffee. There are two layers of mesh instead of just one, so I think the coffee oil gets trapped between the layers.
