**Q: Why are they so hard I heard they are no good to use when gotten hard**
A: They are not good when they are hard. I won’t buy these again.

**Q: Can these be used to help fresh produce last longer?**
A: I do not think so as I do not think this is the purpose for which they are intended. I think you can find products on Amazon intended for keeping produce fresh for longer periods of time. I also saw a new line of containers from Tupperware created for this purpose. Hope this helps. Debbie Meyers also has green bags for this purpose. I tried them. They were not successful for me.

I purchased the 100 package a year ago and just finished using the last one. I am using them in quart jars or smaller to store beans, rice, crackers, and other dry goods. They have worked perfectly to keep the jar air tight and the food fresh. When I opened a new package, I quickly put one in the jar of food and sealed it. Then I quickly stored the opened package in a small jar and sealed it. Each time I used one from the small jar, it worked perfectly. I put these in a lot of my jars that I dehydrate things in to observe, moisture or extra that I just wanna store in jar such as sugar flour, whatever rice whatever you would like I like that they are X amount packaged in one thing and you have several packages with smaller amounts in. I love that part because they will stay fresher longer.
