Surpassingly quiet. Beam colors don’t align. Documentation is lacking.
The media could not be loaded. 7/20/2022 Update: adding "factory reset" steps at the end, since the FACT setting mode appears not to work.I have had mixed results with U'King products over the years, but they are a great low cost solution for simple projects — such as putting things up for a Halloween display that isn’t expected to run forever. Some of their low end lights burn out after a few days of use. With that in mind, the true test of this is how long it will last. Running it through the paces via a DMX console is impressive. The X and Y controls seem quite accurate, and there is a fine tune channel to really nail in the position. The light beam - red, green, blue and white - does not alight very well between colors, but that happens with many I’ve tried. The unit is surprisingly quiet (see video). You can hear it, but the fan doesn’t make any buzzing noises and has just a light hum. You can certainly tell it’s on in a quiet room, but usually there is music or sound effects with these things so that should not be a problem. The unit has basic direction and color controls, then adds the obligatory sound activation modes as well as what the manual calls "go one's own way." That is the random (?) motion and color mode for folks who just don’t care. Since it has a range of values that trigger it - 50-200 - and since it appears different ranges do different things, maybe, some extra docs on these modes would be helpful. But if you are using those, you probably just want blinking lights. But, really, what does "NAST" mean? The LED display is currently showing that in the auto mode, selected from the unit's menu.It also has a strobe mode. The build quality is good … it’s not like their cheap PAR lights you get for $15. It even comes with a bracket for the bottom to mount from a lighting stand. It’s actually better than I expected. I still advice folks to go with known name brands if it’s important, and to never leave these things unattended (I’ve had a bunch of U'King lights burn out on me, but no burning fires yet thankfully).I expect to order a second one for a project I am working on with a low budget.I will update this review if I have any issues. I’ve been letting the light burn in hours at a time and it hasn’t shown any issues yet.FACTORY RESET: there is a factory reset option listed in the documentation and the machine menu, but it appears to not work. I wrote the seller and these are the manual steps they gave:Restore factory settingsa. First exit the voice control and self-propelled modeb. Change the address code to A001The detailed steps to reset the Moving Head Light:1. Press “MENU” button to find "SLnd", and press "ENTER"2. Press "UP"/"DOWN" button to find "dnh"3. Press "ENTER" button, then you'll see the digital blink4. Press “MENU” button to find "addr", and press "ENTER"5. Press "UP"/"DOWN" button to find "1", and press "ENTER"6. Restart the power to complete the setup

Received broken unit
The media could not be loaded. EDIT:After receiving a replacement unit, everything works as well as I could hope. I have revised my review!I ordered 2 of these. One of them makes a harsh mechanical rattling noise and will not receive DMX input. I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps but it will not work correctly.

Very powerful and fast moving light
This is a nice narrow beam moving light with tunable RGB and White color. At 60 watts the beam is very bright and produces a fairly small spot on the wall. If there is any smoke or haze in the room, you will also see a nice tight beam. It has automatic and sound activated modes if you want a show without a DMX controller. In sound activated mode I found this light is more sensitive to music than some of the other ones I have, it doesn't require extremely loud music to work.I like the way this responds to sound. For calmer and more free flowing music the light sweeps around the room at different speeds, changing color. The stronger the beat of the music the faster the motion and the more flashing you get. For really dynamic music it likes to flash a color, reposition and flash again in time for the next beat. It does this so fast it feels like there are flashing lights all over the room! It's a pretty nice effect regardless of what kind of music. This light doesn't have any other effects like gobos (patterns) it is just a narrow color spotlight that moves. It can also be set to strobe and if you have a DMX controller you can design your own light show.I did have a few issues with the light but in the end I don't think they really effect it's use so I'm not deducting any stars. Though I though you might want to know about these things. First off, the light is not a single round beam. You can see in the manufacturer's pictures and in one of mine that you actually get a red, blue, green and white circle where the beam hits. Each beam is also not a sharp, uniform circle but has a dark spot in the center. The other picture of mine shows why, inside the light there are four LEDs, each a different color, and just the one big lens. This causes the four spots on the wall because each color of light goes through the lens a slightly different way. When shining through fog you can see the beam has some color fringes along the edges that change as the color changes. Overall I kind of like the effect but if your application requires a sharply focused beam and circle of light that is all one color then this light won't work for you.In the product description they also say "It produces a razor sharp beam of light with motorized focus" this is a misprint. There is NO focus adjustment, motorized or otherwise, all the optics are fixed. The beam is very tight though, and goes quite a ways without spreading much. Finally, the light I got had several 1cm long scratches on the lens and a lot of fingerprints on the INSIDE of the lens. This doesn't seem to effect the quality of the light but it does show they were a bit careless when they assembled the light.Overall, I recommend it, just remember you may need a smoke/haze machine if you want to be able to see the actual beam.

Extraordinary entry level spot light
The media could not be loaded. Who thought 60 watts could be this powerful? With the full range gimble and the more than capable spot, this is really amazing for the price.Home users will need a DMX controller to tame this beast as it does not come with a remote. Running on full auto or voice will end with a spot light in your eye so best to limit the movement of the lightWith a super quiet fan and the LED's this does not even come close to getting hot. The light is super powerful and would be at home in most large backyard or house/club venues. The photos and video were shot with corner lamps, a party laser and two shots from a fog generator. A truly awesome spotlight for the price, highly recommend.
