One Question a Day Journal for Kids: 365 Days All about Me

We use the One Question a Day Journal for Kids every day as part of our homeschooling, and it has quickly become a favorite activity. The prompts are fun, thoughtful, and age-appropriate — a great way to get kids thinking, writing, and expressing themselves. It’s not only great writing practice, but also a wonderful tool for self-reflection and conversation. My child looks forward to answering the question each day, and I love seeing how their responses grow and change over time. I love this book for the young writers. It’s one simple question a day that will get their little minds going and help them to learn to elaborate their answers as they grow.

We are just a few weeks into this, but it's been wonderful so far. It helps get a little reading and writing practice in each day, it has fun prompts that kick off some fun conversations, it only takes the kid a couple minutes to do (so little to no pushback) and it's going to be a wonderful gift to the kid's future self! Highly recommend. The age ranges are appropriate; younger kids can do it, older kids will be more nuanced with their answers.

I bought this for my 7 year old and I absolutely love it. Not only does it help us with working on things like complete sentences and writing, but it's so fun to go back and see his answers from the past. The questions are fun and age appropriate. Good buy.

We got this workbook at my kid’s teacher’s recommendation. My son struggled with answering questions because he got stuck thinking about the many possible answers and we wanted something with simple prompts to get him used to making quick work of answering the questions. We started by doing one per day, and over the course of a couple of months he has improved to where he can now answer 4 in the same amount of time it took him to do a single one when he started. I am giving it 4 starts instead of 5 because some of the prompts do not ask / require and explanation, allowing for the answer to be very short (one or two word answer). My son, being as smart as he is refused to expand on the answer because the prompt did not require it and considered the task completed for the day. This small thing led to many arguments and long nights with him. We’ve now gotten the rules down to where he understands he always needs to expand when he answers, but it was unnecessarily painful.
