I don't have a coffee grinder at home.** A: I've been using coffee grounds pike roast Starbucks from the grocery store so should be fine. I wouldn't use ones that are too fine (you want a coarse grind), because then you'll get more flavor. If your grinds are too fine it may not give you a strong brew. **Q: is it safe to pour boiling water into this?** A: Cold Brew is intended to be made and steeped for 20+ hours with cold water. I wouldn’t think it would pay buying a cold brew system if you’re looking to add hot water. I feel buying a (probably even cheaper) normal coffee brewer would be the way to go if you’re questioning about hot water.
