For a minimal case design it is just enough protection to cover all corners nicely, and provide camera and screen offset from the surface you put the phone down on. The face material is matte finish and somewhat tacky, edges are very grippy. Deducting 1 star as the on/off button and volume buttons are very hard to locate by feel as they are not raised at all.
