We received this 8x10 carpet from Amazon 2 weeks ago and laid it down in our guest room over a carpet pad. There were wrinkles and a chemical odor, but we opened windows wide and set up a fan 24/7. After a few days, we had to shut the door to the room as the smell had permeated the whole house (2 stories, 4 bedroom house). After a week, the smell in the room was so bad, we had to take up the carpet and drape it over the railing on our back deck. The guestroom took 2 days to rid itself of the smell and the carpet wasn't even in there anymore. The carpet has been outdoors for nearly a week now, and still stinks--we've hardly been able to use our deck because of the smell. 2 days ago, we pulled the carpet off the railing (all the wrinkles fell out from hanging, so that's good) and placed it on the floor of the deck. An online search said to try sprinkling baking soda and letting it sit 2 days. 4 boxes baking soda and two days later, I vacuumed up my carpet (still outdoors, as is the vacuum--it is now filled with polypropylene smelling baking soda), and the smell is still there, although not as strong. We plan on leaving it out for another week. Hopefully it wont rain, but we live near Seattle, so rain, although not in the forecast, is always possible. If the smell is still there, I will have to contact the distributor. They say the next step is to steam clean it, but I am reluctant to put that much more work into it. I checked over all the reviews on this carpet. None of them mention chemical smells. The carpet looks good and seems to be of reasonable quality for the price, but it is worthless if I am unable to use it in my house.

The actual quality of the rug and runner are nice. Only complaint is that it is a tight weave; so not very soft. But look nice once down and vacuum very well.Had a slight smell to them when initially unpacked; smell went away over night and after vacuuming.I purchased a pair of rugs, both an 8 x 10 rug and the accompaning runner (same type) to place on new hardwood floor in my condo. Both arrived quickly. However, the rug and runner did NOT match. [SEE picture of rug pattern/color and runner].I assumed rug was correct and runner in error. Returned original runner and replaced with a 2nd order (replacement) of runner. It came in five days later - again NO MATCH. [SEE pictures of both runners (match) and original displayed].Then re-looked at rug and original advertised. [SEE two pics of each]. Nothing matched.I sent the runner back for a replacement and the new one was exactly the same - no match to the rug (although same name and type).Again, I did like the area rug and wish the runner would match. Even though they didn't match, I decided to keep both. However, because of the lack of matching I give it a rating of 2 stars - nice material; but no quality control to match both rug and runner when ordering SAME color and item (brand, color, etc - different sizes).If you plan on ordering several of the same type of rugs (different sizes), I'm not sure I would recommend this product due to the possibility of the rugs NOT matching.

This thing is unacceptable. Just moved in to a new place with hardwood floors and needed a rug for the living area to stop floor scratching under the couch and table. I was so excited to get this and pull our new place together. First of all, the way it is packed the edges are completely CRUSHED. I’ve included pictures. Like it’s not just curled edges that will go away; the corners of this thing are ruined. Also, there is a humongous stain on it of some kind (maybe water damage?) I also attached a picture of. There’s also a lot of tiny stain spotting on it. On top of all of this, it reeks. Hoping that will go away at least. I’m not sure what to do, as it will be a huge pain to return this thing. But the stain is huge and gross and I don’t have a carpet cleaner, and the edges are irreparable. Would like to return, and will def never buy from these people again. They obviously take no care of their products. I’m really disappointed.

First I loved the price ($52.99) so took the plunge on the quality and i will say it exceeded my expectations. I’m very glad I pulled the trigger. I highly recommend this rug.

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this. Some things may be dependent on which size you buy. I bought the 8’ x 10’ size, which is the largest size. I also bought, separately, a non slip mat to go under this since it was going on a hardwood floor.Is it plush and luxurious? Not especially, but it also definitely doesn’t come off as cheap or subpar if your expectation is set for a mid-level area rug.For the first couple of weeks, it isn’t perfectly flat and the edges can want to lift up a bit. It will flatten out (at least my large size did), and though the edges aren’t lifted, they aren’t completely 100% flush either. I’ve semi-tripped 1-2 times - maybe more time will take care of this or maybe a bit of something like two sided tape.All in all, it’s a nice looking area rug that seems easy to vacuum and take care of. More than anything, I’d say it’s really a nice bang-for-your-buck solution where you want something reasonably nice looking to cover a large area and don’t want to spend a lot.It’s actually perfect for what I was looking for and my rating considers value for price paid.

This rug was what I was looking for. It was a great purchase for the price. It is not plush, but its appearance is accurately represented by the photo provided by the seller. Of course, the edges initially curled back upon themselves because it was rolled up for shipment. I placed something heavy on each corner overnight and it now remains flattened. I needed a big inexpensive rug that was attractive and durable. This one fit my needs perfectly.

Strong chemical odour that is still hanging on, several weeks later. It is easy to vacuum pet hair, crumbs and general messes up though. It looks nice. The fibres have a weird “sticky” feeling when you walk on it with socks - almost like really weak velcro. You also definitely need some way to secure it to the floor as it otherwise slips and slides around like a very dangerous carnival attraction.Overall: good value for the price, but it does have some weak points due to the price point; it’s up to you to decide if you are willing to compromise some quality to save some money

The rug isn't too thick, but it feels soft. The backing is a strong woven material, so it should last a while. It's a good size for the price. I'm very happy with it.

Purchased this item for a dog play area in the house and it is very sturdy. It is surprisingly very easy to clean up little accidents that occur on the carpet and it has stood the test of the dogs very well!I did deduct one star however because the corners of the carpet keep on lifting and rolling up. I have had to put heavy items on all 4 corners in order to keep them down. But besides that it is a very good carpet!

The carpet was shipped rolled up on a very small diameter tube this has left the carpet all lumpy with a 100 high ridges that are not smoothing out. Perhaps a larger tube would be better , our next cure will be steaming the carpet to see if we can get it to lay flat

Had to return. Really liked the colours, but what initially I thought were marks from being rolled up for shipping, turned out to be discolouration from probably getting wet before the colours had set? And nope, it wasn't related to the direction of the pile catching the light. I tried to select "Replace with same and return", but the only way the Return button would activate was if I selected the Refund radio button. Little leery now of re-ordering the same rug.
