Have had custom devices, very, very expensive and uncomfortable ones at that. Found several softer models on Amazon. Ones that encased by big toe and some similar to these product. So far this one provides the best support. If any improvements is the solid foot pad was angle upwards towards the big toe and it should actually be under the big toe itself. Just a little lip. Also if they can make the foot sleeve up until the top where it fastens out of a thinner, but still sturdy material.
