The exact deminsions should be listed on the description screen when looking at the item. However the pocket sizes on this bag are amazing. In the main compartment I store 3 bottles of water, outdoor first aid kit, water flavors, and several triangular bandages and tourniquets. On the back pocket I carry a full size bottle of "OFF". Mine came with a double mag pouch which I have two 45 caliber mags in. And on the other side I keep a 30 round pmag. In the front and front lower pockets I store a bottle of Tylenol and a bottle of Ibuprofin. Small bottle baby shampoo, box a 4 emergency candles, glow stick and two half sized road flares.

I was hoping to use this as a camera bag for my Canon DSLR. Is this big enough to hold a camera and lens?

Yes! It's surprisingly big. It comfortably holds a DSLR +medium zoom with enough space for a short prime or a speedlight in the bottom of the main compartment. The outer front pocket could carry another flash, batteries, small reflector. There is a back pocket to put a medium tablet. Carry strap is comfortable and the it's sturdy. It can hold a gripped dslr with a little effort.I use mine as my goto bag for everyday shooting.

no pals webbing on the backside of the bag?

There is no pals webbing on the back. There is a D ring if you want to attach it to your pack temporarily but the bag will most likely sway alot. There is webbing on all other sides including the bottom(oops no webbing on top but there are two d rings for paracord handle, an extra small pocket, and some extra paracord strapping). I am assuming you want to strap it to your pack by asking that question? Maybe you could strap it tight with some longer pals straps on the bottom and use the D ring. It also has some webbing on both ends of the shoulder strap. I will be adding a leather holster for my small carpenters axe there. This is a "drop your backpack and go" bag to carry bare essentials only. Aka immediate survival only. Most people don't realize that packs can slow you down tremendously. If you need to move quickly do to a short term life threatening situation, you can't afford to carry a heavy pack. I used this to replace my fanny pack. My fanny pack doesnt have enough support to carry bullets, h20 filter, h20, first aid, gun cleaning, power bars, sling bow, mar blanket, knife, small hatchet, etc... It is still small and light but can fit all the essentials.

I need a nice tac bag with me and my rig would this be good? tell me your opinions :) thanks!

I am very happy with this bag. There is plenty of room and specialty pockets; and I would consider it well made. The only drawback is the lack of a top grab handle - which I remedied with some 550 cord. For the price I feel you cannot go wrong - I've seen what appears to be the exact same bag, but with a major firearm manufacturer's logo embroidered on it for over $100.
