Doesn't quite pass the perfect speaker test imo because it beeps to tell you the battery is flat, but it redeems itself with really long battery life plus it quietly turns off after a certain amount of inactivity. It's also very unobtrusive when it comes to lights. This makes it a good speaker for those of us who rely on music or an audio book for getting off to sleep. The volume is tied in with that on your device, so if you use the volume buttons on the speaker, it adjusts your phone volume. It has no bass control either, you have to control that with your phone/computer. The sound quality is great. Really clear for music or speech. It connects easily and has great battery life.

Solid portable speaker with great sound for the price. I'm impressed with the audio quality—especially the bass—for such a compact and lightweight speaker. The 10-hour battery life is solid, and the waterproof design is perfect for poolside or shower use. It doesn’t support app features or stereo pairing, but for basic music listening, it’s more than enough. Great value overall.

I’m enjoying the sound you get from this speaker. It goes everywhere with me given it size. Bass sounds are great and has good volume. Takes ages to run out of charge and charges really quickly. The Bluetooth works perfectly.

Bought a JBL Charge 5 speaker earlier in the year and was so impressed with the sound and build quality that, I bought this JBL Flip Essential 2 for the bathroom. Sound quality is excellent for it's compact size. Whilst it was a doddle to pair to my mobile, it proved difficult however to pair with an Alexa. Got there in the end, but it took several attempts.

Clarity with extraordinary base

Geile kleine Lautsprecherbox mit ordentlich Bums und fettem Bass, wie man es von Jbl gewohnt ist. Bluetooth Verbindung erfolgt rasch und problemlos, keine Abbrüche. Akkulaufzeit ist ebenso toll. Preise variieren öfters, also vielleicht vergleichen und abwarten.

Comparé à tout ce que j’ai pu tester jusqu’ici c’est le meilleur rendu son, même (et surtout!) comparé à une petite enceinte Sony qui était au même prix.. Désormais ce genre de grosse marque ne serait plus un gage de qualité ?😕 Un ami qui avait un “flip5” a fini par me décider, ne tarissant pas d’éloge dessus. N’ayant pas ses finances j’ai opté pour ce modèle et j’en suis ravi! Dès le déballage j’ai été conquis, on sent immédiatement qu’on a affaire à du matériel de qualité. Le poids, les matériaux, ca donne confiance. Très agréable aussi, la mise en route à l’allumage, rapide et sans toutes ces musiques lassantes qui se répètent à l’infini (comme sur l’enceinte Madison…😒). En consultant toutes les critiques, il y en a une qui revenait très souvent… et effectivement c’est le cas: la trop courte durée de la batterie. On est treeees loin des 10h annoncées, même à faible volume 😔 Bon, j’avoue je ne pense pas toujours à l’éteindre quand je ne m’en sers plus, mais j’ai remarqué qu’elle se met automatiquement en veille puis s’éteint rapidement, au bout de 5-10min d’inactivité. Un point positif: la longueur du câble, suffisamment long pour rester sur la table/bureau pendant la charge. Niveau ergonomie on repassera, je ne comprends pas trop le principe des bords légèrement biseautés, du coup impossible de la faire tenir debout, sans risque qu’elle ne tombe :-/ et personnellement je trouve cela inesthétique. Néanmoins, je persiste à dire que c’est la meilleure petite enceinte que j’ai pu tester jusqu’ici. Si par malheur la batterie tient de - en - la charge comme ça a été le cas avec toutes les autres, je viendrai faire un update 😉
