No issues. Easy to set up. Very functional for full time outdoor (albeit under a deck roof).

I bought this smart plug to control an outdoor water pump, and honestly, it has turned out to be excellent. The pump isn't exactly lightweight, yet the plug has handled it without a hitch—even with frequent use. I’ve been using it for several months now, and it still works just as well as it did on day one. Being able to control each outlet separately is very useful, and it works perfectly with Alexa; it responds quickly and has never lost its Wi-Fi connection. It has been sitting outside, exposed to the elements, and so far, it shows no signs of damage or malfunction—which was actually one of my main concerns at the start. All in all, if you use the Amazon ecosystem and need to control demanding outdoor equipment, this device performs admirably. It was a great purchase for me.

Honestly, this smart plug is excellent. It connects straight to Alexa seamlessly and voice commands work instantly every time. The dual outlets are great since you can control each plug completely independently. It's built tough for the weather and couldn't be easier to use. Highly recommend!

I've owned other outdoor WiFi-enabled smart plugs to manage my outdoor Halloween & Christmas decorations. I purchased another brand that I wound up returning both of them due to the complexity of the setup and the fact that the scheduling interface on the app was horrible and it just didn't work. The lights didn't come on and go off according to schedule. I returned them after using them for 3 weeks and purchased these. The setup on the Amazon Basics Outdoor Smart Plugs was super simple. I love the fact that it has two individually controlled outlets that you can program separately to manage two (2) different devices independently. I set these up in under a minute since I already had the Alex app installed on my iPhone, working with another device already. It took me longer to get the item out of the package than it did to set them up! I'll look at Amazon Basics products first from now on!

Plug works as expected; the problem is Alexa. It cannot cope with an instruction to turn on the plug more than 60 minutes before sunrise. So, you have to set it for a fixed time and adjust it constantly as the seasons progress. That may have been acceptable 20 years ago, but better options are available today. Update: The unit worked for about 9 months. Then, it died. I will replace it with a different brand.

This outdoor smart plug is incredibly easy to set up and use. I love the way I can make it go on and then turn off by programming it with my Alexa app. I use the plug for two sets of patio lights that I have on the perimeter of my patio. It’s so nice to have the lights go on and off automatically. You can use the remote that device comes with, but I have found just programming it with my app works much better for me. Plus, Alexa takes commands that can turn it on enough when necessary.
