I see reviews complaining about the quality. You're paying about $7/sheet when good leather runs around $20+/sqrfoot so either you don't know leather or you're a rookie in which case this leather is perfect for you. It's really good quality for what you pay. I wouldn't use it for any of my "high-end" pieces but if you're just starting out it's perfect for Keychains/Tags, small wallets, stiffer pouches, mystery braids, just some of the things I use it for, cheaper small pieces, the "Quick Grab" items near check-out.Very stiff so you'll want a good conditioner to work into it which helps a little, but I like it stiffer for what I use it for. The back side IS a little rough but it's still soft enough to make for example a bracelet out of it and wearing it won't scratch up your wrist or anything. If it's that much of an issue, rub a little conditioner on it and work it in. No need to burnish it that's dumb you're just wasting time and energy. When I make my pouches/wallets I won't even condition the back side of most of them and customers love it. It gives it a genuine leather feel. But then with my Key Tags, I just cut two shapes and put them back to back anyhow so it doesn't even matter for something like that. Or wallets I use Pig Skin liner on the backside of this so again, irrelevant.The dye comes off a bit easy, painters tape peels some off BUT, again, throw some conditioner on it after you're done and it comes out perfect.I REALLY hope this comes back in stock, It's a great deal for great quality leather.

The leather is of decent quality, I noticed some reviewers commented on the leathers fragility, and your skin might be too if you didn’t moisturize it! Leather needs care and conditioning, and can tolerate going without for some time with gentleness. The leather in this bundle is a bit dry which means you might want to invest in some leather lotion or conditioner to revitalize it. I am using a typical leather lotion you can find near the boot-strings at a general goods, craft or hardware store. These sheets have soaked up a generous amount of the lotion and already look even more dark brown and velvety (also probably stronger, but I am using this for book covers, not gloves or boots). Otherwise this product is worth the money if you don’t want to buy whole hides and fits the product description. Star deducted because I had to put in the extra elbow grease, but this and many other Amazon products are relegated to a shelf before purchase. This is very high quality leather and perfect for hand crafting wallets

Nice thick pieces good for bags or knife sheath

Only three of the four pieces were usable for me. The last one had all kinds of horrible creases and tears that I couldn't get out, I ended up using it as a pad for a cutting board.

3 of the 4 pieces of leather had blemishes on them that I had to hide not the best of leather sub par quality the back side suede was rough and needed to be burnished befor use because of the horrible quality control In the tanning process
