Amazed
I just finish reading Jean Willes book, Intuitive Color, and am overwhelmed with the amount actionable, practical, and clear artistic instruction provided. Most quilters consider themselves to be artistic but I've have found that it’s a difficult subject to clearly convey/translate to others; especially in a book format where one can walk away using the concepts and actually building a project you want to keep. In kindle format, it would have been helpful to have a table of contents that linked to each exercise, and a few pictures demonstrating the instructions (the photos are beautiful and inspiring, but it would have been more helpful to understand some of the steps in her instructions). I've made quilts for over 40 years, all the while taking classes and reading books , and this is the first book that has left an impact with regard to the artistic process.

You want this book!
I'm so absolutely head over heels in love with this book. I've had it for a couple months now and I've flipped through it dozens of times for inspiration or even just eye candy. I highly recommend it and will be buying a couple more copies to gift to quilting friends.

Love! Love! Love!
Jean Wells is so creative and knowledgeable about quilting and much more. I love learning from here. Her book “Intuitive Color and Design” is just what I needed to jump my creative juices flowing again. I keep this book by my chair so I can look at it regularly.

If I could keep only one quilting book, this would be it
I got into quilting as a tool for creativity. I have never felt I had artistic talent, but I wanted to break free of my assumptions and find that side of myself. I've read quite a few art quilting books, but they either required too much art/design background knowledge or were too prescriptive. What I love about Jean Wells's book is it's right down the middle - like an artist friend gently encouraging you to try something new, and showing you how to do it without intimidating you. She opened my eyes and is continually there as a companion on my creative journey. Thank you Jean!
