I’m so pleased with these binoculars. I purchased 8x42 pro staff . I live on acreage across from a 65000 acre wildlife management area . I can watch the birds and squirrels at my bird feeder perfectly. It’s easy to move without the shakiness in the view. The 8x magnification is perfect for bird watchers.Also the 42 allows plenty of light to view a wide area in the wildlife management area. First I unpacked everything. Then turned the telescoping lens to fully open them . It’s the side that your eyes are looking through gently .I adjusted until I had a clear view using the adjustment ring while looking through eyepiece. Next on Right eyepiece side turn where you see the plus minus signs. Mine was right lense side it has a ribbed area to make adjustments easily until you are comfortable and happy with the view. I was doing all the research I could to try to decide on a pair of binoculars. I am so happy I made the right choice with the Nikon pro staff 8 x 42. You’ll love these . I chose the 8 x 42 over the 10 x 42 because I experience less shakiness when I’m viewing I’m a little bit older and these are much easier for me to use and have a clear picture.. I bird watch multiple times a day from my porch and I’m so happy I bought these. I also look out on the wildlife management area to see a variety of wild birds in Florida.. we will be buying the 10 x 42 next that’s just giving us 10 times magnification I have to buy another pair because my husband keeps confiscating these that’s how much we love them. We take turns using them so I have to get another pair now you’ll be so happy with this purchase. I can’t say enough good things about these binoculars. These work in my opinion, exceptionally well for the price very satisfied customer.

I purchased these binoculars after having returned 2-3 other pairs. These are great - easy to focus, clear, not too heavy for wearing around your neck. And great for birdwatching. And for anyone sensitive to smells, these do not have a plastic/rubber odor at all (unlike another pair I returned). I highly recommend!

Very happy with these binoculars. Caught them on sale for $109 and bought 2 pair. I’ve been so disappointed with other optics purchased which are impossible to focus and seem to always produce two images. These are super easy to adjust and the image is razor sharp.

Very good inexpensive pair of binoculars. The size is nice for carrying around easily and the 8x is a nice magnification for all general use of binoculars. Don't get the really cheap binoculars under $70 or $80 when just a bit more will get you a "real" pair of binoculars like these. Yes, not the quality of the high priced binoculars but the quality for the price is really hard to beat for most people.

These are the biggest secret in binoculars, and the most amazing quality you'll find compared to those at many hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars more. My wife and her sister are avid birders, and between them, own Leica, Nikon and Swarovsky optics. These are literally not far from as good as any of them in clarity and light-gathering, especially for a casual user like myself. Am I saying they're just as good? No, that's obviously impossible. But there's not enough difference for what I'd use them for to justify paying thousands of dollars more. I've bought three other pairs of binoculars over the years in more or less this price range, just so that I'd have something to use when looking at birds, etc., with my wife, and these are so far superior that it's incredible that they're any where near the same price. They're really that good. Highly recommended. Try them, you'll thank me and your wallet.

As good as their Monarchs? No. But a very good binocular for the price. Recommend highly for those who don’t want to spend $700.

Very nice set of binoculars. Easy to use, very clear view, crystal clear. They aren't "compact" but they are not bulky in any sense of the word. This is the second set of Nikon binoculars I have purchased. The price was very reasonable.
