I love this rug, HOWEVER, the reason I chose this one was because in the description it said it was MACHINE WASHABLE. When I received the rug today, there was an insert that said to hand wash only. I have cats that barf so this out to last about 30 seconds on the floor. I am disappointed that I cannot throw this in the washer as it was advertised. Someone needs to correct this!!!!! Very unfair.

So I was really skeptical about getting this rug because the reviews were all over the place. What made me purchase was the price and the fact that I got a rug pad to go with it. The rug does come vacuum sealed and “wrinkled” it’s got fold lines on it. IT DOES SMELL LIKE CHEMICALS! On the paper it said it’s machine washable and I was able to get rid of the smell with 1 wash (3 tide pods, laundry crystals, cold water, extra rinse) I even put it in the dryer on low knits (it says to air dry.) The rug held up perfectly in the wash and dryer and the wrinkles are out. I’ve even vacuumed it with no issues. There’s been ZERO SHEDDING between the washer, dryer, vacuum, and shaking it out. The size is exact, I needed a 4x6 rug, but the reviews made it seem like it was small so I got the 5x8. A little bigger than I need, but it’s true to size. As for the rug thickness, it isn’t “plush.” It’s pretty thin, but again I’ll be putting a rug pad under mine so it’s not an issue for me. The color is beautiful and it’s very soft! It is slick, but I’m not sure why people are freaking out? I mean I don’t see myself slipping on it? If your kids are running tell them to stop lol. Overall you get what you paid for and I’m more than happy with my purchase!

First of all, this product is not machine washable according to the packaging that comes with it.2nd the smell is horrible!! There is no way without machine washing that smell could go away.Also so soft on the top it’s slippery. I can see my kids running and slipping on it.It went right back in the box and was returned.
