Just as a side note after l installed mine l put a piece of heavy duty filter cloth over the top and secured it with a 6 inch stainless gear clamp to keep any debris from getting in it works like a charm , l hope this helps. **Q: Does this item come with the filter cap? I purchased mine & it did not come with the cap?** A: If by the filter cap you mean the grill in the photo yes it does. When l installed mine l put a piece of black landscape fabric over the top of it with a stainless gear clamp to keep out any debris and still allow it to breathe it worked great . l hope this helps! **Q: What are the dimentions of the nds flo-well surface inlet (fwsd69)?** A: the top is 6 3/8 inches from edge to edge its 9 inches long and the bottom opening is 4 inches wide **Q: Could you cover this with landscape fabric and rubber mulch?
