Varathane Less Mess Espresso Wood Stain & Applicator

Outstanding! Has made such a difference in the marks and chips in our kitchen cabinets, it's above and beyond what I was expecting. I gave a few a second coat. I should have sanded some of the spots and may go back and do that, and retouch up after. Color is perfect for our cabinets. No mess at all. Seems to dry pretty quickly too. Recommend!!

It worked great to touch up my wood cabinets that have a see through expresso color. It worked nice and my cabinets look like new again. I tried it on a piece of wood and applied two heavy coats and it looked solid, no see through so it works great both ways. I think this was a great investment cause got great looking cabinets for only a few dollars!!! Make sure to prepare the wood properly so that the color can look at its best. I sanded with a 220 sand paper, than a 320 sand paper and than I applied the wood stain. I will also use a sealer to prevent the cabinet from chipping again. Very happy with this product!

It is so easy to use and not messy. The foam applicator allows for an even distribution of the stain. I thought it was remarkable. I only had the arms of one chair to do and had to stay in a limited space, so this worked perfectly. If I had the whole chair to do, I might choose the traditional can of stain with applicator as the bottle on this one can be a hard squeeze as you are rolling. All-in-all, I highly recommend!

Worked perfectly.. no mess.. just dab on and wipe off!! Great price and low odor. Very easy to use and matched the chair legs!

I needed to stain wooden blocks to raise a table. I thought this would be easier than using the bottle of stain and cloth I already had…. I was wrong. The stain barely came out and when it did you couldn’t spread it with the top you had to use a cloth but by the time you put the bottle down to grab the cloth you already have a mark where the stain came out on the wood. And the blocks were super smooth, kinda even shiny looking so they were not porous. So I had to use something else for what I needed to do.

It was a good match, and remarkably improved the chips in the coffee and end tables. Not absolutely perfect, but much better! Easy to apply.

Wish I knew about this sooner! If you're a crafter this is a game changer. I wish I could find it in stores. Super easy to use. No mess. Low odour. Would highly recommend

I like the colour but trying to use it on small-ish pieces of wood for a craft project wasn't ideal. I would consider it for spot work only, repairs, etc, and think it would do fine in that role
