So, the first thing that happened was that the pump broke. But I bought a little aquarium pump for $6 and then I was in business. I already had seeds and plant food from my aerogarden. Anyway, I paid $35 for this thing, and adding the $6 for the pump, I am now happily plucking basil and cilantro leaves off it every day to add to my meals for $41, and which is waaay cheaper than even the smallest aerogarden. It's fantastic. Works great for what it is. It, uh, a weird a thing is that it seems to be on a rotating schedule, so every day the light comes on an hour earlier than the day before. I have no idea why, but, uh, it's fine, it's fine, it's so cheap. :D And I am totally growing things in it, which means it's fantabulous. It does what it's supposed to.

I did a lot of shopping on Amazon and elsewhere when looking for one of these hydroponic seed starters for my wife who is a Master Gardener. The reviews for this particular product were overall good but the price, for what was offered, comparatively, was what finally convinced me. I like that she could start 10 seeds at once, have an easily viewable window to keep track the water height, adjustable height of the light, plenty of A & B nutrients and of course the starter sponges and caps to retain heat and moisture while starting the seeds. Also loved the Bamboo base and light arm. It has been working 24/7 since purchased and only had to be restarted once, when we lost power during a thunderstorm. The light runs 16 hours then off 8 (so be sure to place in a room that you don't mind bright light on in the wee hours). It took just 4-8 days to start Kiwi, onion, tomato, cantaloupe, hot pepper and cucumber seeds. Yes, we highly recommend this product, and will be purchasing a second.

I am waiting to see how it works. It does come with pods but not seeds. It only has room for 9 plants not 10 as described. Easy set up. Plants sprouted quickly, but developed white mold.

Super easy to assemble, clean and use. Iv never used this to grow plants to full maturity but as a plant starter before planting them in my garden or outdoor pots. Have started peas, a variety of lettuces, beans, herb spices all have been successfully sprouted. Would love to buy another one of these in a bigger size.

Seems cute at first and when the little seeds sprout it seems like you’re winning. Then about a week in when you start trusting it you walk into your kitchen (or whatever room you place this burningly bright light) you find that the ENTIRE base of water has seeped into your cabinets and floorboards. I actually thought I must have done something wrong and tried it again. Bad choice! It leaks terribly. I took it apart and cleaned everything and dried everything (despite it looking clean etc.) and put it back together as I did to start and it just leaked and leaked. I definitely do not recommend and am disgusted.

I love this. I've had the "high tech" name brand versions of this, and it really is such a waste. This sets up in minutes, and now i've got a consistent supply of salad greens. All for the same amount of "work" as the more expensive models, at a quarter of the price. Also, this one is much cuter, the white and wood is so aesthetically pleasing.

Initial Review:I opened the box & put this together. The product appears sturdy. There's multiple items that come with it. Everything came inside the tank. The tank & under tank appear to be sturdy & good quality. The light seems a little flimsy. The pump only shoots water up the center. The A&B food have crappy directions. Doesn't say how often to put either into the water, how much water to add to the bottles, if you're supposed to use 1 or both at the same time, etc. Instructions were unclear on that part. The stand that holds the light has a sharp edge. & the BIGGEST ISSUE that I noted is this is labeled as a 10 pod system, it comes with 10 things. But it is only made to hold 9 pods! False advertising at its finest. I did use a $10 off coupon making this under $30 after tax. So I'm a little less mad by it. But still extremely disappointing that it lied about being 10 pod capable. 😕 I toyed with the idea of returning it for that reason alone. I've added a couple of seeds, & we will see if I get anything. Will update after a bit.
