She really enjoyed this CD set and within a day or so, she started speaking Chinese phrases! Although this product is not to be considered as comprehensive as a set like Rosetta Stone - this will do the trick to give you basics and quick ways to learn to "get by" if you were stranded somewhere where Chinese was the only language.We went to a local Asian Chinese eatery and my mother started speaking Chinese with the waitress there and her eyes were big in shock and awe! My mother was able to communicate simple requests with ease.
