Dr. MartensWomen's 1461 Oxford

They look great and they are very comfortable. True to size.

The Dr.Marten shoe I purchased, the 1461 one,is to replace my old pair. When I say old I mean used,abused and weathered. This is definitely a manly shoe, and looks great when wearing. I have had my old pair for 6 yrs.+and I bought them used! Who knows how long they had been worn by the initial buyer....Altho the shoe looks clunky, as I prefer tennis shoes or loafers , but surprisingly they aren't all that heavy. The stitching is still holding the shoe together nicely but the rough treatment and wear I put the old ones through finally the leather uppers developed holes in them.Thankfully I have been wearing these shoes for working outside and have dropped a number of heavy items on my feet while wearing them.So the holes are not unusual whatsoever. Not only are the Dr.Martens, a favorite work and dress shoe fore they are reliable and durable and well worth what I paid for these new ones.I am not a punk rocker( a necessary item in their decor) , bit a 65 year old man who loves a solid , and comfortable shoe at a reasonable price. I cannot recommend the Dr. Marten brand highly enough.Please be sure to treat the shoe with Neatsfoot oil or other conditioner firstly and it will last as long as mine did....or longer.

Per suggestions I ordered a size down since I am normally a half size. Unfortunately a size down was too small - since these are made with such sturdy materials there's just no wiggle room. I would suggest for folks who normally order a half size to round up rather than down for this shoe. If it was made of cotton it would be a whole different story but these are really sturdy leather that are not going to give (you might scrape off some heel skin trying to squeeze your foot into a size too small). Ultimately this is a great shoe though and as long as you get the sizing right I think you'll be pumped to wear these - they're made well and a really timeless, versatile style. I needed a good flat for work and what better than a nice Doc Martin brogue/oxford to say "I may work in corporate america but I'm still kind of anti-establishment?"

This shoe is amazing, as in all of docs! The canvas, however, arrived STIFF AF and I was wearing blisters for a month after the first 2 days. I purchased a couple of shoe heel protectors and stuck them in and then and only then, was it totally fine to break them in.They are excellent post wearing them in. Thick canvas, well made and constructed - repels moisture. The cork sole is comfy on my feet walking everywhere all day and not a sweaty hot mess in warm days (with some 20,000 steps). Seriously gushing over these now that they fit perfectly. So happy I bought these! They do fit true to size, seriously, but after the breaking in of the canvas. These look dressy or casual and are all I’m wearing to everything right now with jeans.May not hold up for 7+ years (like all my other leather Docs), but I can easily see 2-3 years of regular use if cared for and a new cork insole. Maybe even 5 before they look worn out around the ankle.

These docs did great and break in easy. You can dress up or down when you hit the town with these hot shoes.

Ended up returning these. The shoes came in a generic box, not a DM box. There was no tissue or other packing to keep them from rubbing on each other in transit. They looked as of they had been returned before.Size related, I bought the size all my other docs are in and these shoes run a bit narrow.

I have been buying Doc Martens since 1990. I finally bought these oxfords, and I love them! They are very comfortable, and I didn't have to break them in. I have several pairs of their boots, and they are all still in great condition, even after 20+ years. I expect these oxfords to last for decades as well.
