REMO Djembe, MONDO(TM), Key-Tuned, 18" x 28", SKYNDEEP FIBERSKYN, Contour Tuning Brackets, Earth Finish

I previously owned a 14" Remo djembe, and I always wanted a larger one. This 18" MONDO, pre-tuned (and tunable with the included key) hand drum is the ultimate in dynamic acoustic sound. At once, the magnificent bass quality that comes from this extremely large surface, will win you over. Included were some sound control stickers that I don't use, but is a nice bonus. I am 65, so it seems heavy to me, but to a younger person, I suppose it would be considered lightweight. I play this instrument in a church setting, and everyone enjoys it immensely. Deserves more than 5 stars! (I could not find this immediately available in stores, but the seller shipped it within a week.) Get one if you can.

It's big and it's earth-shattering and window shaking and knocks out all the dirt and dust from suspended ceilings. Knocked all the wife's knick-knacks off the shelves in all rooms of the house. Friends heard me playing it a block and a half away - it was summer in Yuma (AZ) and I had all the doors and windows shut up tight in the house, and they had their car windows shut up tight (and radio playing), still heard me practicing that far away. YUP, it's da bomb. Just get it already, you know you want it. All "bass freaks" must have one for sure.

This djembe sounds better than anyone I've ever tried it has very deep base and it is on a remo stand in the picture .🙂

Exactly what I expected from Remo. I got the 18" so big crack and big boom.
