Q: This mat looks quite thick, is it difficult to balance on it because of the thickness?

No, it's not like the thicker pilates mats or other kinds. It's actually quite nice. I am 9 months pregnant so I appreciate the extra cushioning while not losing balance.

Q: How is this mat for hot yoga? Is it super slippery? Also, does anyone know if this mat contains PFRs?

I use this mat for hot yoga. It feels good. But I also put yoga towel on top of mat every time. It works well. Yes. It contains PFRs material.

Q: Does it come with the strap to carry like in the picture? Not the buckle to hold it roll together but a strap to help with travel.

I only received the brown Velcro strap to hold it together. I was hoping I’d have the carrying strap as well.

Q: Does putting your full weight on your elbows or knees hurt while using this mat?

Elbows no... Knees? Depends for me how long I will be on them. Most of the time, with any mat, doubling up ( folding it over ) solves that problem for me. I'm 5'8" 190#
