I had assumed water based would be the most natural, but after doing some reading I realized that different brands have different ph and osmolarity. Turns out none of the ones in the recommended range were any better. I bought a two ounce bottle of this at Target for $11 and liked it so much I decided to repurchase. Imagine my surprise when I got an 8 ounce bottle for $15! It lasts much longer than water based. It really isn’t sticky, and best of all, it doesn’t irritate my delicate skin. I will say, the two ounce bottle ended up dumping over and emptying itself in my night stand. The 8 ounce top is different, and it hasn’t leaked.
