Length is Great!!
I read so many reviews about how incredibly long this strap is, but I have a sewing machine and know how to use it, so I decided to go for it. All I can figure is that some reviewers forgot how it is supposed to be used!!When passed down between myself and my uke, under the body of the ukulele, and into the bottom of the sound hole, it works well for me (5' 3" and shrinking...) near the shortest setting. I think the people saying it is too long must be hooking it over the top of the ukulele and on the top of the sound hole??? (And I have found that sometimes when I play seated I even like to lengthen it and rest the whole thing lower.)There is some beautiful inlay work in the wood around my sound hole that I was a little... hesitant about damaging. But I have been very happy with how it works and haven't seen any signs if wear or scratching in the last 2 months of use. (I'm not a daily player, but I have been fairly "regular" since I'm in a cycle of lessons since this came.)I didn't want to drill into my ukulele, so this has been perfect for me. Sometimes I wish I had a full-on strap that holds it independently, but I love this instrument as it is (I only play one ukulele, so you know its serious! LOL)!! So, this is works for me.

Way too long in any style, but would work with alterations. I chose to return and install a strap button instead.
I wanted to love this strap. The three stars is simply because of the length of the strap. The blue and white flower design is beautiful and the clip worked great to hold it, but the length was ridiculously long even on the tightest adjustment. I bought the scarf-style strap to compare before deciding what to do, but the scarf strap was way too long also, and the clip on the second strap I ordered was loose as if someone pulled it open, which I disliked as the tighter clip could be adjusted slightly to the side to avoid hitting it with my hand as I strum. Either strap would have to be altered to fit an average-size adult. Ultimately, I decided to return these and install a strap button on my ukulele instead. With that said, if you are looking for a simple, no-drill strap to support your uke while playing, I think either style would work great if you have the ability to do a little sewing (or you are seven feet tall). I personally found the jacquard strap too constricting hanging around my neck and much preferred the comfort of the scarf-style strap. If you're sensitive to wearing turtle necks or tight collars, the scarf would be a better option. Take note, this is not a hands-free strap! You have to hold onto your uke at all times when wearing it. It is simply for support to keep the uke from slipping and would work great for that if it wasn't so long. If you want to let go of your uke or sling it on your back, you'll probably need to install a strap button.

I nearly did not buy this due to the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did
I nearly did not buy this due to the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did. I would recommend this product for the patterns alone, very vibrant. Compared to other neck straps I've worn (for a multitude of instruments), this is fairly comfortable. And most importantly, it does NOT interfere with the strings or damage any part of the instrument.

Really nice strap at a great price!
I love this strap. I'm 5'1" and it fits perfectly when worn over my head and playing arm. To wear it like a necklace (as the model does in the sample picture) I have to pull back and tie a knot in the string for a perfect fit.

I really, really like this strap
I was a little nervous of buying this strap for a new tenor ukulele as my soprano ukulele has buttons and a strap. This tenor ukulele pictured has inlay on the bottom and I was afraid to drill to install buttons. Read a few reviews about it being too long and I am 5 foot one so it would probably be too long for me but I can sew and would have to shorten the length. This strap is long but I brought it underneath and it works great! I actually like the style better that the buttons and strap. Nice too because I purchased the ukulele on Saturday, ordered this strap and got on Sunday. Able to play my new ukulele and not have it slide off my lap.

Great for cheap ukes - I don't trust it for my good one
Not a big fan of this type of strap - you still have to hold your instrument or it will fall on the floor. Also super worried that the plastic clip would scratch my uke. If it was padded, they certainly would have gotten at least 4 stars.

Strap is way too long
I was extremely disappointed with this strap. It's made well enough and the colors are very beautiful, but if your goal is to use it with a ukulele, it's too long. The standard position to play ukulele is cradled above your chest, just as you would hold a baby. Therefore you need a really short, adjustable strap. This strap is the length of a standard guitar. One ukulele salesmen I spoke to said, "it's as if it were designed by bass players". (They play very low). Anyhoo, I'm not going to return it, I'll shorten the strap and resew it. I think after that it will be very nice to use.

Bad Clip Design!!
The clip design is terrible it is too hard that would damage the ukulele sound board and its opening is too narrow that makes it hard to hook on safely! I could not clip this on my Kamaka! It is too bad because the strap looks nice! I want to know if can return this!!!

Fel short
Unfortunately the “hook” is just too flimsy for my ukulele, this was a waste of money.
