My sample had foil shielding only on the left channel wire, causing hum issues.
I had drastically different background hum levels from my left and right channel amplified speakers. I eventually cut into the cable to investigate and discovered it has a foil+ wire outer shield on the left channel cable, and just a plain wire shield on the right channel cable. Not sure if this was a manufacturing defect or a design issue (are they all that way?) but it's seriously weird. In many applications, this might not be a big deal, but it caused problems for me.

Old school cord that still works. I had to run it to my Zoom H4N for an event that only had RCA Output. Audio was cleaner than expected so I'm not mad at all.
