I’ve lost 15 lbs in about 2 months BUT, I have one shake/day and for the other meals either vegetables or egg whites or tuna. I like the Almased because (1)it keeps my focus on losing weight, (2) it is easy to prepare, (3) it gives me all the nutrients I need while eating so few calories so I feel good, (4) my hair is thicker and healthier and fingernails are stronger. I do not believe that I could drink Almased for a meal and eat whatever I want for other meals and still lose weight. But, it is an effective tool with an otherwise healthy diet. I tried 2 shakes/day and got depressed, so I dropped down to 1/day and felt better. I have not been exercising but am not sedentary. Almased does not taste great. I put a cup of frozen berries in a Ninja, about a cup of water, 1/2 single serve packet of lemonade mix (True Lemon) and the Almased. Pulse 2 or 3 times and it is a bowl or a shake. That way it is enjoyable and feels more like a meal without adding many calories. It seems a bit expensive but at $4/meal, it isn’t bad. What would you pay to lose weight?? So, while I do not believe all the claims Almased makes, it does give the nutrients needed to reduce calories and still stay healthy and give a boost to hair and nails in the process. When I lose 15 more lbs, I’ll probably continue the Almased for the nutrition value and add in more daily calories.

The product is good. Not sure if it's something that I would do for a long period of time. I feel energetic when I do take it. In fact, when I had blood work done, it actually seemed to have lowered my cholesterol. Unlike the other protein shakes I've had, it did leave a sour milk taste in my mouth. As soon as I drank it, I would run to the bathroom and brush my teeth. 😂

Taste is not horrible and after trying different combinations and having to suffer through the fails, I find that adding it to my Splash Berry flavored water is the easiest to mix and drink because the berry flavor covers up any unpleasant taste and the flavor is familiar. I was really disappointed to read that succesful weight loss is based on using approximately 6 cans of this product. At $35 a can that is about $200 and it does not guesstimate how much may be needed for weight maintenance, so this could get pretty costly, especially since their recommended mix ratio of 6 Tablespoons of the powder for each glass uses up a hefty amount of the powder so I'm guessing I will need at least 2 cans of the power per month to support this "recipe". Since I have purchased the product and already opened it I will give it a try. I do find that it helps me to feel full but I also still have cravings all evening to snack on candy or other items to take the hunger edge off. It is easy to use, but I will probably want to add to this review in a month or two to truly evaluate the effectiveness of the product. I have lost a couple of pounds but I have also been making a strong effort to maintain portion control, reduce snacking and watch calorie intake so even without this product I feel those efforts have contributed to the weight I have lost in the past 4-6 weeks.

Overall, I love this product because it actually seems to be working. I will say the taste is not the greatest. I add extra vanilla flavoring and three packets of Splenda and that helps a lot. It’s pretty chalky. But I love the way it’s making me feel because I definitely can tell that it’s working.
