My daughter loved this backpack, but after just 2 weeks of 2nd grade the straps are already separating from the pack and fraying. We haven't overloaded it and it's only held a spiral notebook and a folder so we haven't been putting it through any excessive use. I understand this happening at the end of the school year but not in the first month of school for a 2nd grader.To me it seems like there wasn't enough fabric in the seam allowance and the fabric frayed out of the seam, so it could just be a one off. I will contact the seller and request an exchange and update my review if needed.9/16/2022 Update - I was able to get an replacement and will update again if we have the same issue. My 7 year old still loves the backpack and was really happy to be able to keep using the same style.10/5/2022 Update - No fraying on the replacement, I genuinely believe it was the seam allowance on the first backpack we received. Updating to 5 stars.

I got this backpack for my kindergartener. She is obsessed with Cats and she liked this one best. We have had the backpack for 2.5 months. The outside of the backpack seems to be in good shape still but on the inside of the backpack is it starting to rip. I feel that the price did not match the quality of this product.

We were very happy with this backpack.. at first. It seemed like a good quality backpack and my daughter loved the cute kitty on it.School has been in session for only 10 weeks, 2 and a half months. And my daughter came home from school with teeth missing on the zipper, and she mentions "oh yeah I forgot to tell you, there's also a hole in it" so God only knows how long ago it actually ripped. How long this backpack *actually* lasted.As you can see from the photos, it's not dirty. She isn't throwing on the ground or trecking through mud. She's not hard on her backpacks at all, and she's only in 2nd grade so no heavy text books or anything. Her last one lasted all year and is still in emaculate shape (luckily we kept it, so she is using it again this year now.) So I was extremely surprised to see this kind of damage after light use.I would NOT recommend this backpack. Save your money.

I am so frustrated with this darn backpack.The fabric has held up really well, the strap padding is great, the design is beloved by my 6 year old......BUT THE CHEAP PLASTIC ZIPPER IS INFURIATING!There were a couple teeth missing at the bottom edge where the zipper was sewn in and that was the beginning of the ordeal. One slipper kept coming on and off. I tried to fix it by letting glue dry on the toothless piece of taping to prevent the zipper from sliding off.Unfortunately other teeth came loose and fell off as time went on.Fast forward to today and it's just a mess and I have to run to Walmart to grab something to get us through the rest of the year.Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for a backpack with good zippers!

Arrived broke and zippers won’t open or close.This backpack is cheaply made and it shows.Damaged in original packagingTerrible quality control!My daughter loved how cute this backpack was. We waited as it was a new backpack for the new school year.She was pretty crushed that it arrived broke and has to wait for a different backpack that we ordered from a different vendor.
