Review: Quality has declined - I originally purchased this model from Dekoni around 5 years ago, but found a cheaper alternative since then when I needed to replace them. That alternative is now discontinued so I've returned to Dekoni and the quality has gone downhill. The foam is thinner, the sound isolation is worse, it was missing the filter in the box... not good.
Review: COMFORT! - These ear cushions just brought my headphones up to the next level! The Sony WH1000XM4's are truly awesome but the stock ear cushions are just too thin and after a short period of time they become pretty uncomfortable because the speakers and plastic are right against your ears and although that's good for noise cancelation it's not good for long periods of use. The Dekoni cushions are plush and fit around your ears better as well and now I can wear these headphones all day or night with no problem. There is a small amount of noise cancelation that is lost but not enough to be a bother. I would definitely recommend these cushions to anyone with the XM4'S, Great fit, Great quality, and VERY comfortable

**Q: I see that these are suppose to have deeper ear cups but the depth measurement is not mentioned. can i get an actual measurement to compare with oem?**
A: Hello, Dekoni Audio has informed us that the depth is 10mm deeper than the stock style ear pads that come with the WH1000XM4

**Q: Do they come with instructions on how to remove the pads?**
A: Mine came with instructions if I remember correctly, but if not there are plenty of videos on YouTube and various suppliers on Amazon that show you how to change the ear cushions. It's actually very easy.

**Q: I read somewhere that the suede version is cooler for hot climates and causes less sweat. Is that correct?**
A: Although our Choice Suede and Leather are vegan alternatives, the materials do mimic real suede and leather as both materials are the same just reversed(Think like a reversible jacket).

That means even though the outer face is the suede, the inside of the pad is still Choice Leather. They will be similar in heat retention except that the suede is not a smooth surface so will have more crevices for the heat to escape, this heat dissipation effect might be negligible or unnoticed.

**Q: Are these thicker than the stock pads?**
A: Yes, considerably.

The Sony WH1000XM4's are truly awesome but the stock ear cushions are just too thin and after a short period of time they become pretty uncomfortable because the speakers and plastic are right against your ears and although that's good for noise cancelation it's not good for long periods of use. After barely 3 months of use, the interior plastic that parts that attach to the headphones broke making them unusable. This is unacceptable, especially for the price. Poor built quality.
