I never got a definitive answer about the expiration date. Just to tell me that "the product is good" is not enough.Last shipment was out of date.

You need to pay attention to the format of the expiration date. As printed on the labels the format of the expiration date is different in the US than it is in Germany. In the US the date format is month/day/year, in Germany it's day/month/year.

is this product kosher - specifically ones made in Germany?

Historically, Germans have had a great affinity to the Jews. The East German diaspora was second to only Israel at the beginning of 12th century. As such, all German products are kosher.

What is the expiration date or best if sold by date on this item?

The ones I received were six months once and nine months second time before “best by” date.

How do they make sure they don't melt? How are they shipped?

I have not had any melt and I have had them from USPS and Fedex.
