After a bit of a mix up with the delivery we used the knife to cut a cooked joint of beef. Wow! It glided through the meat so easily. The knife has a bit of weight to it which assists with the cutting and feels really good in your hand. It appears to be well made and so far I would say excellent value for money. I would buy this brand again.

Love my knife. Tried the Japanese shaped ergonomic and returned. Felt as if it needed sharpening ! This knife is SHARP, STURDY, WELL MADE and can highly recommend. Mustn’t go in the dishwasher but no problem with that.

The knife is really well presented if giving it as a present It has a solid feel. I’ve used only once so far and it was nice to have thin, even slices of meat rather than my usual hacking job. Definitely sharp enough from the box. Recommend

I love cooking and I like to use good knives. It's fair to say that I have a knife for every kitchen eventuallity, other than a carving knife, as I'd been happy to use a large chefs knife for that purpose. I've recently taken to smoking big joints of meat and I was minded to try something longer and thinner than my 8" chefs knife that was sharp and well balanced and therefore manoeuvrable enough to slice straight, fine pieces of roast meats. This knife handled it all with ease. The grip, weight and balance are all top notch and the grantons work well at releasing the meats and avoid shredding. I recently used this blade to cut up a batch of flapjacks and my partner commented that it made the cleanest edges of all my attempts over the years. It doesn't fit in my knife block, nor have I been able to find a suitably sized block for it. It does come with a robust sheath, so I'm able to keep it in a drawer, safely away from delicate fingers. I've not had the knife long, so I've no idea how long the blade will stay sharp for. With a Rockwell rating of 56+, it should sharpen up nicely on the whetstone. I have no hesitation in recommending this knife.

Love this! Beautiful knife that even has a very nice sheath cover. This knife is SHARP! I used it to carve/cut my Thanksgiving turkey and ham. It is really an elegant piece.
