I am almost your identical height and weight. I got a small because that is all they had, it’s very fitted. It works but a medium would be a little more comfortable

Small should work if you aren’t on the curvier side

Q: Does it fit by being stretchy, or is there a zipper you have to close in the back?

There is a zipper in the back and the top is "flowy" but the skirt has no stretch or give, at all. I have a 28" waist and 38" hips and the large was too tight through the hips.
