BEEFY
This review is for the 110 cm (43.5 inch) light/silver version of the viking.I spent alot of time looking for a decent lock..went through everything from kryptonite to hiplok to cheap masterlock shoe-string cable locks. I wanted something light and long enough to comfortably carry over my shoulder (like a sash), yet strong and solid enough to secure a mid-range (in terms of expense), nice looking bike. I wanted a chain as U-locks are too limiting, especially in the few spots I have to leave my bike regularly. This thing hit every mark! I'm no bike lock expert, but to me? This thing is beastly, definitely overkill for my area where alot of people leave their bikes entirely unlocked for hours at a time. Cable locks are the norm around here, even on E-bikes..but theft happens everywhere and it does occasionally happen here. I'm in no way suggesting you do so, but you could probably (for sure) use this thing for self defense if someone tried to steal your bike out from under you. It feels very well made, and the lock itself is by far the smoothest I've ever used on a bike lock..no sticking or anything, and the magnet is a nice feature. Easy as pie to lock/unlock. Mine came with 3 very nice, car-quality keys and a code to register them. The chain links themselves feel solid, certainly hefty enough for a silver rated lock, but realistically could still be cut in a few minutes if a thief had the right tool..it would definitely take two cuts to defeat however. Being a silver rated lock, it should be able to withstand up to 3 minutes of persistent attacking by a determined thief with tools (bronze is 1 minute, gold 5+ etc). Also, the neoprene feels to be high quality, it won't be easily damaged from general daily use and is sufficiently waterproof. All in all I'm more than happy with it. I don't even notice that I'm wearing it after a few minutes with the way the weight is distributed, but it may be too heavy for some..and it would not be convenient to transport on a ride without wearing it over the shoulder..way too beefy to wrap on the bike itself imo, and would add significant weight to a pack..I can only imagine how hefty the gold version is, but I'll still be getting one when I get a nicer bike one day!Edit: a larger person may want to get the 55" if they want to wear it sash-style, I'm relatively skinny at 135 lbs and the 43.5 fits perfectly with little slack.

Seatylock Viking Bike Lock Chain: The Best Bike Lock I've Ever Owned (10 stars)
**Title:** Seatylock Viking Bike Lock Chain: The Best Bike Lock I've Ever Owned (10 stars)**Image:** [Image of Seatylock Viking Bike Lock Chain]**Review:**I'm a seasoned cyclist, and I've tried a lot of different bike locks over the years. But none of them compare to the Seatylock Viking Bike Lock Chain. This lock is incredibly strong and secure, and it's also very easy to use.The Viking lock is made of hardened steel, and it's Sold Secure Gold rated, which means it's one of the most secure bike locks on the market. It's also very resistant to cutting and prying. The lock is also very easy to use. It comes with two keys, and the keyhole is large and easy to find. The lock also has a cover to protect the keyhole from dirt and debris.Overall, I'm extremely happy with the Seatylock Viking Bike Lock Chain. It's the best bike lock I've ever owned, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a secure and easy-to-use bike lock.**Pros:*** Extremely strong and secure* Sold Secure Gold rated* Resistant to cutting and prying* Very easy to use**Cons:*** Can be a bit heavy* A bit expensive**Recommendation:**If you're looking for the best bike lock on the market, the Seatylock Viking Bike Lock Chain is the way to go. It's incredibly strong and secure, and it's also very easy to use. While it is a bit heavy and expensive, I believe it's worth the investment to protect your valuable bike.

Heavy and secure
This lock felt very heavy and secure. I bought it for my son’s new ebike but his dad bought one also so I did not keep it. We didn’t get a chance to use it because I never opened it since we were returning it, but just from feel and heft, I could tell it was a great lock. It is quite heavy but I guess that is to be expected. We definitely would have kept it if he didn’t receive another lock, we have no need for two. The package arrived quickly and all was great!

Great lock and overall quality protection
Received this lock in the mail today. I'll start off first by saying;Dear Seatylock, you don't have to make it so hard to get the keys out from the packaging. I ended up slicing and poking through my nail trying to cut the keys out because the cardboard was so thick. Almost felt like I was a bike thief trying to get through the lock itself. You can see my nail bleeding a bit. Anyways... lets get to the real stuff. The reason I bought this was for the fact that I was looking for a high quality chainlock that could replace my extremely heavy and long Kryptonite Evolution 10mm chainlock while not having to worry about the locking mechanism failing on me one day. Both Viking and Kryptonite Evolution claim to have 10mm chain links. If you look at the picture, you can see the Kryptonite Evolution lock has six sides to it, making it thicker. This was where I was most disappointed.Where the Viking lock wins in comparison:The locking mechanism. Kryptonite products have the reputation of feeling as if you're picking the lock to try to get the key in and out. Customers have sometimes complained of not being able to unlock their locks. I was starting to experience this myself and it was a reason why I convinced myself to buy the Viking chain lock. For the Viking lock, the key slides in a lot better and smoothly. You turn the key slightly, feel a click, then keep turning and you'll feel another one. That's it. Very smooth. Well done on this one Seatylock.Another upside; the sleeve itself is of great quality. It's soft but feels durable. The chain isn't showing at all. Great for those of you that worry about scratching your bike. I personally don't care but this is a plus. The chain links should be good enough to keep away most attacks. This is my second Seatylock product (I own the Pentagon lock) and am a happy customer. My bike rides have just gotten a bit more smoother.Buy

Great lock
It's great, very sturdy and solid, I hindsight should have got the longer chain. Otherwise would have given 5 stars
