Works as it should. Very easy to install. Clean stainless design and easy filter cleaning. Installed it without a duct still works good.

I liked that this fan was quiet and it does appear to be efficient and does look good when installed... But it does have some design issues that need to be fixed, when you install the system in order to have it work well.1. There is a flap lever that is on the fan assembly, that actually opens up the fan to venting the smoke back into the room (unvented). So if you are venting out the back or up out of the top, you will notice just a small amount of air slipping past the flap, as the flap does not seal well... So if you are venting out the top or back, you could simply use duct tape to seal it off and have all the air go out of the home (you can get inside the air housing to do this by unscrewing 3 small screws that hold the fan motor to the housing and twisting the fan assembly slightly to the left and it falls out)2. You will notice that after you pull the fan motor out, you can get to the the inside and calk around to seal the air from getting past the housing and it will help all the air go out of the home, instead of getting back into the kitchen (now well sealed like the noisy ones I have had in past, but its totally easy to seal with some calking).3. The other draw back, is that the fan pulls the air in from just off right of center, so more draft gets pulled from the right burners than from the left side. If it bothers you, you could make your own damper above the aluminum filters to slow the flow on the right side, just a bit.After we got it sealed up and installed, we do like it, much more than the old noisy teeth rattler.Good Luck!

Relatively easy, install nice looking unit worth getting

1 year update:12 months and one week after it was ordered, ~7 months after it was installed and it’s dead. Power dolly board has failed and I’m striking out on finding a replacement. The cost was ok but not for a half a year of use. I cannot recommend this one anymore.Original:Four stars mostly on price. Cosmetically this is a huge improvement over what it replaced and it does work.My issues are thatit is significantly louder than expected from published Sondes.Charcoal filter has too little charcoal to be effective, mostly open spaceSize is dimensionally smaller than advertised and requires shimming.But for the price it’s a solid buy that does work.

Brought this to replace a old unit. This unit is not a true 36" it will leave a small 3/8 gap on each side underneath a 36 " cabinet. The 6" rear discharge is smaller than the existing 10"( more typical) vent. Other than not matching up to the old mounting holes, it was easy to install,look good, quite. Lights are bright. If it's holds up I'm very pleased.

Adequate but not perfect. I can only compare it to my old vent hood that was white and I needed black to match my new stove. It would have been nice if the exhausted vent was a little more centered. The fan is very loud and the lights are not as bright as my Old unit. They were LED too. Airflow is just so so. You get what you pay for. It’s worth all I paid for it. Looks good

The lights are bright, but not too bright. The fan sound is reasonable and hardly noticeable on 1 or 2. Install was a bit frustrating. There is a QR code to watch a video on the install, but that QR code brings you to a Chinese website that may or may not be a sports page. If you want it to vent from the rear outdoors, which is the reason I bought this, it’s a bit of work to get the metal back panel off. The screws that came with have a head that is just big enough to secure the fan to the wall or cabinet. They should be much bigger, as I added a few of my own. Once installed though, it’s a nice looking product that came with lights, charcoal filter and the option to vent in or outside. I would buy again.

Range hood is exactly as advertised. It arrived when promised, not the clearest instructions but pretty simple to install. Seems quiet & good suction. We are happy with purchase & recommend it.

Took a bit to install it but we are very happy with it. It's quieter than the old one it replaced.
